Top Democrats Resign to Run for Higher Offices

House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, Fulton County Commissioner John Eaves and Senator Vincent Fort have all resigned their posts to focus on gubernatorial or mayoral bids. Abrams is running for governor and it is expected that her rival, Stacey Evans, will resign her state house seat soon. Eaves and Fort are both running for mayor.

Senator Perdue visits Union County

Thursday more than 200 business and civic leaders crowded into the conference center at the North Georgia Technical College Blairsville Campus to hear Senator David Perdue  speak as part of the Blairsville Union County Chamber of Commerce annual Power Lunch Series.
