Governor’s Race, Senate Edition: Williams V Cagle

The Georgia General Assembly has begun with 39 business days left before candidates can start sending fundraising emails again.  The trade off is that candidates who remain in their elective office have a platform and megaphone to generate “earned media” – essentially letting news media distribute their messages for them.

Senator Michael Williams started this morning:

Casey Cagle’s Campaign Manager decided to throw slightly more than a brush back pitch.

It’s one thing to call someone a  low down no good member of “Teh Establishment”.  It’s quite another to call someone a traitor to Bulldog Nation hours before the biggest game in a generation.

Today’s round goes to Cagle. At least 39 more to come.

In actuality it’s more like the ultimate Redneck Superbowl as most of both states’ populations get to celebrate their perception of the primary reason their university system exists. Using it as a foil in the Governor’s race just adds to the joke.

Put a “shot jar” on the podium. Every time one politician takes a “shot” at another politician he/she must put a $100 bill in the jar. Donate the proceeds to a worthy charity of Charlie’s choice!!!
