I don’t recall this “hot take” during the last administration. Maybe Ginny just forgot, so I’ll help her out here. Which POTUS had 14 cabinet resignations and a 91% turnover rate of senior staff in 4 years, the most of any one term President in history ? “According to Brookings, Trump has had four different chiefs of staff, press secretaries and national security advisors in as many years. Over the same time period, six communication directors resigned, with the current one listed as unknown.” Spare us the “rat/ship” idioms if this is the best you’ve got. Doles, a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan and the neo-Nazi National Alliance, filed paperwork earlier this year to run for a spot on the Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners in 2022. He ramped up his campaign this fall, riding a souped-up Jeep in Dahlonega’s annual Gold Rush parade. He’s been to prison twice, marched with white nationalists in Charlottesville in 2017′s deadly “Unite the Right” rally, and, while he claims to have left white supremacist groups behind, stays in contact with skinheads, neo-Confederates and Klansmen. Even so, he believes he can win running as a Republican and an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump. His campaign signs carry the warning “Stop Socialism. Save America,” a slogan borrowed from controversial U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who represents Georgia’s deeply conservative 14th District. https://www.ajc.com/news/investigations/why-does-a-longtime-white-supremacist-think-he-can-win-an-election/MGQLKWO2DND7NBAS2P35R5REBM/ December 3, 2021 6:29 PM Log in to Reply xdog Bob Dole, old soldier and stalwart of the Senate, dies at 98. “Senator Robert Joseph Dole died early this morning in his sleep.
