An observation made by a recently retired CDC employee kind of gives you a clue. If you aren’t a medical doctor (MD), or an academic doctor (PhD), you don’t count for much in their halls. But someone has to do the work, and those that actually do the work don’t get a lot of respect. Meanwhile, all the doctors at the CDC are hard at work on their latest theory, or opinion, or obsession. Those “pointy headed intellectuals” help us to make progress. That one person out of the thousands that work for the CDC tells you his gripes and therefore it applies to all of the employees? Talk about projection!
