The Times analyzed data compiled by Senate Stock Watcher, a nonpartisan website that aggregates publicly available information on lawmakers’ trading, and found that Mr. Perdue’s transactions accounted for nearly a third of all Senate trades reported in the past six years. The secretary of state’s office alleged Thursday that Bill Price told members of the Bay County Florida Republican Party that he was planning to move in with his brother in Georgia so he could register and vote in the Jan. 5 runoff elections. Price, the office says, then encouraged others in attendance to “be his roommate in Georgia” and register to vote.
