Happy Herbs & Spices Day, or as we in Georgia are calling it this year, Delayed Elections Results Day! And like your elections results, I’ve delayed your morning reads. (Apologies for that; Sidney went to the vet bright and early this morning, as in the crack of when they opened.)
On the topic of herbs and spices, what’s your favorite out-of-the-box choice herb? Mine is lovage. Good luck finding that in stores! It’s not hard to grow, though. My more “normal” choices are basil(s), rosemary, sage, and cilantro. Share yours (and your favorite spicy or herb-y recipes) below.
Before I digress too much, let’s get to the news:
- The election didn’t execute smoothly. Reports out of conservative and liberal outlets alike roasted us for it.
- It looks like some of the rural districts finally have all results in from yesterday. Those can be seen here.
- The NAACP will hold a rally at the Capitol on Monday to demand changes to the elections process in Georgia.
- The state’s budget shortfall widened in May.
