Morning Reads for the Great American Grump Out (May 6)

Today, being the first Wednesday in May, is the Great American Grump Out. In case you’re thinking it’s a day to be grumpy, it’s just the opposite. “Grumping out” is supposed to encourage a day of positivity, and in the spirit of the day, I’m going to try to reduce my sarcastic side remarks in this week’s reads.

Speaking of, let’s get to the news!

Pat Conroy

Alice Walker

Flannery O’Connor

  • A judge dismissed the case against Monroe County brought by a Macon woman who was jailed for three months after her cotton candy was mistakenly tested as methamphetamine.

A Flannery O’Connor story worthy of the heading. Kids, be sure to clean out those unused treats.

Cut out the middleman and get more bang for your buck by providing $9M directly to your wife that she can use for her $20 million Senate campaign, instead of having to funnel it through a PAC where the illusion of independence must be maintained.

Trump stating and Pompeo supporting the claim that there is significant evidence that COVID-19 came from a Wuhan lab, before a consensus is complete, or if complete and not reasonably certain, is irresponsible.

Er, check that. It’s Trump doing what Trump does best, politicization to feed his narcisscism.

Does anyone know if Charlie Bethel is one of the three GA Supreme Court justices that have not recused themselves from John Barrow’s lawsuit challenging the disappeared election for a Supremen Court seat?

It’s releveant in that another of the candidates for that disappeared seat, Beth Beskins, is now running against him.

WSB reported a month ago that Bethel and four other justices had recused themselves.
