Sen. Loeffler Touts Second Amendment Work

One of the concerns voiced when Sen. Kelly Loeffler’s name was announced as the next U.S. Senator from Georgia was where she stood on the Second Amendment. If her first month is any indication, she is definitely committed to being an Second Amendment advocate.

Sen. Loeffler has already co-sponsored three Second Amendment bills since joining the U.S. Senate:

  • Senate Bill 69, The Conceal Carry Reciprocity Act: Enables law-abiding citizens to exercise their right to self-defense anywhere in the United States through national conceal carry reciprocity with any other state that allows residents to concealed carry.

Sen. Loeffler:

“Like many Georgians, I learned at a young age how to shoot, hunt, and properly take care of a firearm. I enrolled in marksmanship classes to improve my shot and learned about the training that our military men and women undergo every day.

As a lifelong conservative, I know that the U.S. Constitution is not optional, and our Second Amendment rights are not up for debate. That’s why I signed on to three common-sense bills that protect and expand the freedoms of gun-owners across America. We must stop the radical left from trying to undermine public safety and the rights of law-abiding gun owners. We can’t back down. Our right to keep and bear arms ‘shall not be infringed.'”
