Jimmy Likes Age Limits For POTUS, Potentially Indicates 2020 Preference

Let’s just get to heart of the matter: Jimmy Carter will not be voting for President Trump next year. He made the comments Tuesday night during a “Conversation with the Carters” event at the Carter Center.

Now that that bombshell is out of the way, President Carter said an age limit for the President would probably be a good thing. Smart reporters have noted that Senators Sanders and Biden ,respectively, are 78 and 76.

The relevant quote:

“I hope there’s an age limit. If I were just 80 years old, if I was 15 years younger, I don’t believe I could undertake the duties I experienced when I was president.”

Georgia’s best President also outlined what it will take for each Democratic hopeful to get his vote in next March’s Democratic primary:

“I’d like for them to pledge to promote and be the world champion of peace, the world champion of human rights and the world champion of environmental quality and the world champion of equality of treatment among people. If they would do those three or four things, I would probably vote for them.”
