Marqus Cole Announces for GA-7

Marqus Cole has announced he is running for the GA-7 congressional seat as a Democrat in 2020. The seat, currently held by Rep. Rob Woodall (R), has been categorized as a toss-up race by Larry Sabato.

A press release from the campaign states about Cole:

“Marqus Cole is a local attorney, former prosecutor, graduate of Georgia State University, and member of the Georgia Bar Association, the Gwinnett Democratic Party (Executive Committee), Grace Snellville Church and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He is also a proud resident of Gwinnett County and a parent of two children with his wife Amanda. Marqus Cole has spent his career fighting for justice and equality and has proven his commitment and dedication to serving the community.”

“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy to represent Georgia’s 7th Congressional District. The continued dysfunction in Washington is hurting Georgia families and we need a voice in Congress that is committed to moving our district, and our state forward. I look forward to meeting the great people of district 7th and listening to the issues affecting their family.”

I suspect he won’t be the last one since there is blood in the water. The last election continues a trend of the bluing of that district

How does this guy know if the people and families in GA-7 are hurting if he hasn’t even met them? Get a (new) comms person.
