Maybe you should say not to make deep dark madder.
It’s not mad… it’s dissappointed.
Did we win?
Georgia Secretary of State and Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp received a voter card that said “invalid” when he tried to vote on Election Day.

Lot’s of Kemp news tonight:
A federal lawsuit filed Tuesday evening is seeking an emergency court order to prevent Georgia Secretary of State and Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp from overseeing the count of his own election.

The emergency legal papers were filed at 5 PM today on behalf of five Georgia voters: LaTosha Brown, Jennifer N. Ide and Katharine Wilkinson of Fulton County, Candace Fowler of Dekalb County, and Chalis Montgomery of Barrow County. They are represented in the matter by the nonpartisan nonprofit Protect Democracy, former United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia Michael J. Moore of Pope McGlamry, and former Department of Justice Voting Rights Section attorney Bryan L. Sells of the Atlanta Law Office of Bryan L. Sells.

FWIW, I’m still in line to vote, and I’d say there are an hour of folks behind me…
Fulton County?
He’s west Chatham. I’m guessing the 7-11 Seventh Day Adv. It was running 2 hour plus prior to 4:30.

7-7 rothwell Baptist in pooler…took 4 hours
How many machines down?
One of the poll workers is the mother of a friend of mine, she said they had 10, but 2 were “taken away” so there were 8 active
SoS results site is intermittent at best.
Election is about what I expected. I figured Stacy would get drilled but not as badly as she apparently is…although it probably tightens. (Noways 5% is probably it!) The House is going democrat as expected but Repubs pick up 3 or 4 in Senate which is huge. No red wave, no blue wave.
I guess if the dems had lost the House we would have had riots, pink hat brigades and more hatred than we have seen the last 2 years….Since they can put their snouts in the Washington trough they will be a bit more civil and try to govern.
Maybe the press will try to be partially honest for change instead of painfully biased.
Trump’s agenda has already been passed. Good. We were not going to get another tax cut through. Maybe get an infrastructure something, and the guys actually work together. Trump will work with democrats. He has been one longer than he has been a republican.
Stock futures are up a tiny bit which tells you no surprises. Maybe Trump has another Supreme Court pick and this time no one gins up absurd lies to destroy a judge and the ones that did will go to prison.
I have always said if we paid every darn Senator and Congressman $10 million a year NOT TO SHOW UP and screw things up worse, we would all be better off.
The US rocks! What a country!
DTM might have counted a few chickens too quickly…Abrams is making this pretty darn close….ruh roh George!!
2:15 AM and no one in the Governor’s race is budging with 2,435 of 2,634 precincts completed. There is still a possibility of a runoff at this point though Trump has already made his congratulatory call.
Highlight so far for me is the Confederate city of Eagle’s Landing will not be.
Woodall lost until 1:00 AM and then “whoops we had a data error” and now Woodall is ahead.
The 6th CD has only a 1,000 vote spread with 20K absentee and provisionals to go.
On the national front the projections are D+33 in the House which is no surprise and R+3 in the Senate which is a light one for me anyway.
Hardly a blue wave. Not a red wave either. Better than most midterm elections if you are a conservative, especially in the Senate. The gains in the Senate are huge.
Hopefully everyone will tone it down. At least we don’t have to see dem mobs and riots had they lost the House. Act like adults and do your job. Cut the hate.
If anything the dems blew it with the Kavanaugh Fiasco. And I am ready to see the false accusers go to prison where they belong.
DTM, not a blue wave in terms of what matters for government, I agree – but Andrew’s point about the popular vote is also important. What it means is that the GOP enjoys a structural advantage due to population distribution and, to a lesser extent, gerrymandering brought about after the 2010 census. GOP holding the OH-Gov is significant to preserve those gerrymandering advantages for them in that state. In terms of the population of this nation, 9% is huge – but because of the abovementioned structure, the Senate and House are still more conservative than the population they represent.
