Judge Kavanaugh has stated that whatever it was and whenever it was, he was not there, and definitely didn’t do to anyone the things she has described. He said he just wants to clear his good name.

The guy I mentioned on this site last year who tried to force me into a wall at work (just copping a feel I guess) and I slammed my heel into his foot and hit him in his ribs with my elbow -.I can’t tell you the exact day it happened. It was a Sunday, in the spring, and I can give you the most likely year, but it could have been the following one. I can tell you the place, because I worked there for 4 years. Can’t recall the color of the storage room wall I was smashed into and was inches from my eyes, even though I went in there a few times a month for 4 years. Can’t tell you if I had on my white or light blue uniform shirt. Can’t tell you which of the 2 dozen sets of stiletto pumps I and my roommate shared I was wearing when I smashed it into his shoe. or the color. Can’t tell you the color of his shoes either. Can’t tell you the color of his sweater but it had shell thin buttons that jammed into my back when I was slammed. Can’t tell you what I said to him. I can remember him calling me the worst word you can call a women. I don’t remember how I got back to the main desk at the front door or into my car, or which of the 3 cars I had in college I was driving then. I do remember being so mad (and afraid) that I started to cry and drove aimlessly on gas I couldn’t afford to replace until I stopped, reapplied my make up and went home. I didn’t say a word to any one that night. I remember the next day going in on my day off, telling my boss – who didn’t believe me even though I had bruises on my upper arms shaped like fingers – until I demanded he look at the guys ribs or foot, which were bruised too. I don’t remember what I wore that day either when he was fired. I know I didn’t tell any one that story from over 20 years. Telling the males around you that story, well some just might think your crazy – made it up (and secretly hope I’m not going to make up ‘a story’ about them and get them fired too).

Don’t be sad. I started sharing the basics of that story when I had an office of young female interns I trained who work in a male dominated profession and travel to male dominated work sites in remote areas of the state. I don’t worry over the guys in the office, but I can’t say that about the people who do not work for my employer directly. I didn’t want then to be afraid to speak up. We have a few introverted types. I wanted them to know they had options and I would make sure they would be heard. Even if I had to do some ass kicking myself to make it happen.
This is more then I normally say, but I wanted to make the point that 29-28 years later I can’t tell you the exact date. Some of the details are fuzzy. Mainly because the color of my shirt is not the most import thing to remember. It doesn’t upset me to talk about, I just never did.
I do keep track of him after I saw his picture in the paper and saw he works with high schoolers at his church. And if some one wanted to give him a life time appointment to a position of power, damn right I going public.

If you had any knowledge or even cared to learn about assault and abuse cases, they just don’t get reported for many reasons for long periods of time. It’s been said repeatedly here. Look at the Catholic church issue, just to name one of many examples of how victims don’t come forward right away. And in this case, the victim did, just not publicly. And now that she has, she’s being dragged through the mud for it. And you wonder why she was reluctant before?

You know nothing. Most sexual abuse cases aren’t successfully prosecuted and there are a multitude of factors for that. The pervasive myths about “false accusations” ruining nice men’s lives affect jury outcomes. I’ve worked in the field, and I can tell you that a woman coming forward with a complaint of sexual abuse is harassed and scrutinized like no other. It’s hardly ever worth it for a woman to come forward from a criminal justice POV.

You can’t say there is no further evidence because we don’t know that. It was a party, lots of people, even some alleged witnesses. Get them under oath. Check the records. There is a significant written record and several others have come forward to corroborate. Why the resistance to investigate?
This isn’t a court of law. It’s a job interview for a position that would make him one of 9 people who are the final word of justice, ethics and morality in the country. If this was the private sector he would have gotten a nice letter thanking him for his interest and time, but he would not be offered a position at this time. Trump employees have been denied security clearance for less in their FBI background check.
Worse case for Kavanagh, he goes back to his life time appointed DC circuit bench with his pal Garland, and Trump picks some one just as conservative that has no paper trail or belongs to a religious group that believes your husband makes all major decisions in your life. And Trump loses a vote that would lean to his side when the question of a Presidential subpoena is before SCOTUS.
