Republicans have already decided that avoiding the payment of taxes makes someone “smart” and does not disqualify them from public office.
Perhaps they should be chastising Kemp for paying taxes?
Does anyone remember the Clinton’s writing off Bill’s old underwear!? I kid you not. Andrew, little buddy, do you remember that one? You might be too young. Want me to y’all the link on that one too?
I think it was smart of ole Bill to save a few bucks. Now I don’t think I want to be the Goodwill recipient of said item do you?
At least Hillary’s could be reclaimed as a wind sock somewhere! This is too easy, just like shooting ducks on a pond!
Why do I imagine that every time you use the patronizing “little buddy” you are Charles de Mar from Better of Dead?
I’m sure your “black friends” on the golf course remember.
Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, another one of Snivler’s Race Rangers!!!!! Gotta put The Narrative in wherever possible! You get a gold star! Indy, did chomping on that motherboard give you indigestion?
I am sorry I don’t know Charles de Mar and not familiar with Better of Dead. I am sure they must be studly folks and look like Brad Pitt or maybe Gary Cooper from a few years back! Thanks!
Yes “little buddy” is a bit sarcastic but in case you haven’t noticed Andrew seems to be in an ill mood most of the time and awfully insulting and patronizing— so its just a little zinger back.
Other folks have come up with more colorful nicknames for him but I think my “little buddy” is really not ugly at all.
You might notice that “little buddy” is what Skipper referred to Gilligan as. Skipper was not calling Gilligan a racist or fire breathing dragon or whatever sticks and stones thing Ang tosses out –sorta like Obama did on that cringe worthy, limp wristed first pitch at that ball game. Lord Michelle my Belle would have fired a better heater. I think Obama’s mom jeans got in way…
Hey I Youtubed Charles de Mar! I love the guy!
He aint Brad Pitt but I’ll take it Enjoy the Silence! (That is a fine handle by the way!) That dude is hilarious and so obnoxious! I am still laughing.
Yep, that is exactly what I doing when I am talking to that ill tempered beast of a man, Andrew!! Good call!
So, I’ve never just casually thrown out accusations of racism and misogyny unless there is cause to do so. And within the past 12 hours, I have read the following stories (links not included, just to make you work for it):
1) Penn Jillette (sp.?) confirms Trump used racist and misogynistic language on the set of the Apprentice;
2) Omarosa asserts DeVos stated black students didn’t have “capacity” to understand her agenda (i.e. blacks are stupid, i.e. racism);
3) Roger Stone mistakenly posts a meme with him and his dude bros. wearing swastikas on their space suits, saying he loves it. Claims it was either a mistake, or just that he loves being trolled, so re-posted.
I might give Roger Stone the benefit of the doubt, but he’s supposed to be media-savvy, isn’t he?
So, I’m not saying that there’s so much smoke that it’s impossible not to have a fire. But I am.
We’re just now putting on our gas masks so we can see through the massive amounts of smoke, and get to the dumpster fire that rests in the souls of so many associated with this administration.
You know my black friends are almost all ex Army and Marines. Don’t mess those guys. They can take it and dish it out with the best of them.
Not nary a sniveling snowflake among them. Most of them have kids in the military as well. Great guys and no touchy race rangers…. They seem to judge folks on their character and no so concerned about color. And even enjoy someone with a lousier tan than they have from time to time.
I voted for Obama twice, and Mrs. Clinton
My son is serving in the military.
Unlike Cadet Bonespurs (or any of his children).
Whataboutism…
Hypocrisy will be pointed out, much to the chagrin of the Libs, every time it raises its’ Snowflake-ish head!
The funny thing is Trump has done the worst 5x of any president. It would seem that the whatboutism just makes you look silly and it makes you look like an apologist for Trump.
Indypendant, God bless your son, family and his service. No disrespect is meant to him in any way. Hope he is safe and enjoying himself. And not all service people vote conservative. Wesley Clark for example. More may vote for conservatives, but so what?
Surely being king-maker buys you some relevance! If it weren’t for his efforts, and I’m talking about single-handedly keeping the homegrown political lookalike industry afloat here, we might have a Republican gubernatorial candidate who went to a hotel named the same thing as the dancing girls place. Instead we get a candidate whose legal team can’t be satisfied winning their candidate suppression case in the Georgia supreme court, they’ve got to insult the candidate afterward too. Thanks, Clay!
So you don’t disagree with the substance of what he said? Just who said it?
I disagree with it. Imagine needing a $50k life saving surgery and being told to wait because the Republican administration in Georgia wouldn’t accept the Federal money (they took from you!) to fund rural hospitals! That’s Brian Kemp!
That is actually a good political response to use on a campaign to rally the liberal base. It won’t work as well with women who are republicans that don’t like Trump (this is who Abrams should target). White women in the suburbs who have college degrees pay taxes. Lots of taxes. They don’t like the idea of someone running for higher office who choose to not pay when they sacrifice to pay their own taxes. Now the term sacrifice is relative, but I promise you that they believe that they sacrifice and that is what matters. Abrams will lose by a wide margin because she has decided to target her liberal base and not broaden her campaign into the target rich white suburban women demographic.
‘I think an an Abrams victory depends on…”
Ummmmm, Repubs voting on Monday instead of Tuesday?!
I’m going to agree with Eiger on the suburban women. I have two of them in my office who voted Evans, and equally hate Kemp and Abrams. If Adrams doesn’t find a way to connect with them, either through education, colleges, rural heath care (one has a mom – in – law living in the wilds of Macon Co) childcare or some family centric subject, she’ not getting their vote; one is already saying screw it she’s not voting for either one. Abrams should already have the base, she is missing the middle.
First, thank you for being such an interesting and rational commenter, it’s folks like you that keep me reading. Second, I think if the GOP strategy is to go after this very lowest hanging fruit, Abrams will have all the time in the world to push wide-appeal policies (bread and butter stuff like education and healthcare) without any kind of real opposition to her candidacy. Do I think everyone should pay their taxes? Yes, of course. But I think, as you pointed out, that the messenger bothers me also, and that makes the point seem kind of hypocritical and less legitimate.
I also think that the primary kind of settled who the candidate ought to be appealing too. The strategy of relying on suburbanites to flip big seats has not been a successful one. I think Abrams knows what she’s doing and where she’s going to get her votes.
Thanks for your perspective Eiger!
I second that Eiger… I might not always agree with you but you have solid reasoning for your POV.
If she was on a payment plan to pay back taxes, then it would be fine for her to loan herself the campaign funds, which was like start-up funding. It will be easy for her to counter this, saying something like:
“I invested that $50K to my campaign in no small part in order to work to get Medicaid expanded for so many tens of thousands of Georgians who need life-saving surgery, and can’t afford it, exactly because Republicans like Kemp and Tippins never supported Medicaid. Since when have Kemp and Tippins supported or strengthened Medicaid? ”
If it were me, I would add: “Kemp and Tippins must think you’re really stupid if they expect you to fall for the ruse that they actually care about Medicaid.”
Good thing I’m not running or otherwise involved.
You all might not agree with me on the topics, but at least agree with me that if you are responding to a 10 word attack with a 4 paragraph response you are losing the argument. In politics, if you are explaining you are losing. The fact that Abrams is having to explain herself on this issue means she isn’t talking about what she wants. It is an easy attack and if I was running Kemp’s campaign I would do the exact same thing.
This is how you win campaigns. Keep things simple and be on offense. Campaigning isn’t governing. It’s a battle. You govern later. That’s why you have lot’s of people that are great at winning elections and campaigning, but can’t govern. They aren’t the same thing.
Yeah, sound bites are better for a lot of circumstances.
The bite-sized response would be: ” That $50K will get Medicaid expanded for all of Georgia.”
Imperfect, but a good re-direct.
I’m very curious to see if the different campaign strategy works. I think the most important thing is that she is authentic and believes in what she says. I’d much rather see someone lose by being genuine than win by being disingenuous. I know- politics is about winning.
But should it be? Is there no room to improve how we politic? Especially in races which outright winning is unlikely? Improvement is winning in it’s own way,
This is a campaign Andrew. You attack where you opponent is weak. This is clearly a weak spot. Why attack on an actual issue that deals with how he will govern? If you do that you have to have an opinion that you will be held to in the future or that may turn away some of your supporters.
You don’t have to like what I say, but it’s the truth. Campaigning and governing aren’t the same. You have to win a campaign to govern. So number one priority is to win. To win you attack your opponent where they are weak.
If I was running this campaign I would be doing the same thing.
“But I hate attack lines which can be flipped into a compelling narrative.” For it to be a compelling argument she has to admit that she has unpaid taxes (which she has already) and it will continue to be a distraction that she is constantly addressing. Which is what Kemp wants.
I promise you that when the debates come around Kemp will hammer her on this. “Abrams – I want to increase teacher pay.” “Kemp – pay your dang taxes and maybe we can pay teachers more.” “Abrams – rural hospitals are closing at an alarming rate.” “Kemp – if you had paid your fair share in taxes those hospitals may still be open.”
It’s such an easy attack that becomes a huge distraction for Abrams. Call it low hanging fruit or dumb. It will work.
The first thing that came to my mind was since when do Republicans even care about Medicaid? You have to take a big leap past the fact that the GOP has been railing against Medicaid for decades to take that tweet seriously.
Congrats on the little ones. I hope to be around here a little more often.
“ I wouldn’t take most of the claims of “Unhinged” at face value. But we don’t have to, because Manigault Newman has receipts.”
She sure does. I guess she knows Trump well enough as did Michael Cohen that they were taping everything.
STEPHANOPOULOS: How is [Comey] a good witness for the President if he is saying the President was asking, directing him, in his words, to let the Michael Flynn investigation go?
.
GIULIANI: He didn’t direct him to do that. What he said to him was ‘can you give him a break?’– on “This Week” 08 July 2018
.
“There was no conversation about Michael Flynn. That is what he will testify to if he’s asked that question.” — Giuliani to Jake Tapper on CNN’s State of the Union show on Sun 12 August.
.
The statements were on two different networks a month apart which unites both major Republican party factions—the weak-minded deplorables that can’t comprehend the statements conflict with each other, and the depraved can more easily pretend that one or the other ever occurred, depending on the current whim of Agent Orange.
.
It’s crystal clear why Trump’s legal representation will do everything in their power to prevent Mueller interviewing Trump. Trump is a serial liar surrounded by sycophants.
Guiliani regularly embarrasses himself on TV. It’s become a running joke to see what he is going to say and then what comes out the next day that undercuts the lies he told the day before.
If he were he wouldn’t be running around Caroline. The FBI embarrasses itself each day those biased whatever’s keep up the charade. I am waiting for them to indict Rocky and Bullwinkle…
Trump resides in a bubble. He probably has no idea that Giuliani is a national laughingstock because unless State Media AKA Fox News says it Trump has no idea what is going in the real world. And it’s not like it’s easy for Trump to get people like Giuliani. A ton of really respected lawyers turned down Trump when he asked them to represent him because they don’t want to deal with a client who lies to them and they don’t want to deal with someone who has a history of not paying.
Andrew, here is some more detailed fact checking for you. This is top notch work. You have field dressed me for not attaching supporting information….even when I do.
So here is the article about Bill Clinton taking a tax deduction for his used underwear! And can you image how those 2 Clintons are now worth $200 million when they both claim they were broke when they left office…Dang…that is impressive.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1993/12/28/bill-clintons-great-skivvies-give-away/0dac853d-cf3d-4faf-8104-bcf124bd93b4/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.d9de267b5af8
I wonder what deduction Monica could get for that blue dress? Millions? …you know someone would bid that for that dress!
The Clintons truly are the gift that keeps on giving. They are at the source of almost every major scandal in the last 30 years. They are neck deep in doo doo on the joke of an investigation of Trump and are the guilty party in true Russian Collusion and polluting half of Washington with them.
The one time you actually post something with a supporting link, it’s so nasty I would’ve taken your word on it.
Remember, legal deductions are only bad when they’re public and Democrats take them. The reader may speculate for themselves about the reasons Agent Orange hasn’t released his income tax returns.
We know why he isn’t! He would be a fool if he did. Jees half the libs don’t pay taxes, the other half make it a sin to make a bunch of money and half wouldn’t understand depreciation and real estate accounting anyway. They don’t like capitalism so why even waste your time trying to reason with them?
The press is already 99% against him and he doesn’t legally have to do it anyway. Heck I wouldn’t. Isn’t tomorrow the press advertising “a 100% we hate Trump, we are liars and we don’t care day”?
If I was Trump I would NEVER talk to Mueller. He is rogue, off the charts, is trying to find a reason to impeach him like his best buddy Strzok and that geek, Rosenstein, his investigation is embarrassed and at best suspect, everyone including liberals know its biased as hell and they have not found jack squat. So they fillet Manafort. So what right? He got in the way… If they had anything it would have been leaked ages ago. The FBI has more leaks that the Titanic.
Mueller is trying to save face and is covering up a zillion transgressions by the FBI. They have been stonewalling from the start.
Next question..
Thanks again Balance. You are the man. Or woman. Or whatever you want to be!
I am, naturally, at balance on the gender continuum.
Yes they do Andrew. And Noway who had worked with the FBI for years agrees with you. And ask any rank and file FBI guy, they cant stand Comey, Strzok and the rest of crooks in the upper echelons. Its scary. When you figure out how crooked all of this is and it is spelled out like a paint by number picture, no detective work needed. I hope we hear from Fusion, The Ohrs, the Clintons, Obama’s Strzok, the Russian Lawyer so called meeting with Trump Junior was a set up, Natasha or whatever he name he met with was with Fusion and Glen Simpson just before and just after that 20 minute meeting? Why in the hell did that happen? Just trying to trap them with something. There is your collusion. They are all on the FBI and DNC payroll…
Its sick. It aint Trump. And I am pretty sure every one of you knows that but cant afford to admit it. You have to much invested in the BS narrative.
Nobody cares about Clinton whataboutism you fool. I dont believe there is anyone in the Clinton family running for anything. If you think they are so awful, why do you support the same behavior (or worse) coming from Trump? He is literally profiting off the presidency
Good try Scotty. Not taking a salary. Not beholding to anyone. No one owns him. He is worth anywhere from 3-10 billion. He didn’t need this crap. Having to deal with liberals and haters on daily basis but he is doing what is needed.
Try another angle about someone benefiting form the presidency.
How do you go from broke to a $200 million net worth and a foundation worth billions at one point till the influence peddling petered out so to speak. Go back to the Russian collusion illusion…meanwhile his military buildup, strong economy and pro US polices really help the bad guys don’t they? I guess that Space Force and Star Wars again might get them wetting the bed!
Again, did Trump get $145 million from the Russians? Well the Clinton’s did. Try an easy question? Why?
And yet they beat the GOP twice and Hillary won more votes than your Trumpian guy. Hey, this is what they get for being honest. They released everything. Again, where are those Trump tax returns? Oh, that’s right. He lied.
You can always tell when things are going bad for Trump when Republicans start whataboutism regarding Hillary and Bill or the Obamas. Bill has a best seller and you’re stuck with Trump. I totally get why you’re flinging poo on the wall all the time.
FYI in the article the store they donated to takes underwear. It’s a legit tax deduction unlike laundering Russian money.
Caroline, that is pitiful reply! Even for you. Bill has a best seller? Really? I bet NO ONE OF YOU STAUNCH LIBS BOUGHT HIS PITIFUL BOOK! Am I right?
Why in the hell would you? What will you know that you don’t already know. He is not going release anything juicy that he actually did. Is it about his escapades with Weinstein!?
Stuck with Trump? I love the guy. How owns you guys. He owns the republicans. The rhinos cant touch him. Neither can the FBI but they have tried their best haven’t they? The press tries and they have made themselves into whiny little jokes.
They cant control him. He is not beholding to them. Glad you okayed his tax deduction for us. Be sure that is on the right thread so Andrew doesn’t tell on you again…
More Trump apologia I see. Yes, I know Republicans love Trump. It’s the other 60% of the country that does not.
“Whataboutism” That’s the Libs new little phrase! Soooooooo cute! Flail & Fail!!!! Highlighting Hypocrisy, Babe–AAAAAAAA!!!!!!! All day, every day!!!
Nope, you’re trying to deflect from Trump. Besides whataboutism is always a major fail when you’re defending Trump. He’s done 5x what any president in the country before has done and he’s even done stuff no one in the presidency has ever done before. Trump is a Russian version of Richard Nixon.
LOLOLOLOLOL! “FYI in the article the store they donated to takes underwear.” Said with a straight face, no less. I notice a fairly severe facial tic developing there, Carolina. To quote your idol. “You might wanna put some ice on that!!”
Noway, you’ve already announced to us a number of times that you do not read. So if you’re not going to discuss the article what’s the point? I guess what they did is bad in your mind since they didn’t steal the money from the charity like Trump Jr. and Trump. I mean you’re whining about people writing down donations when you’re supporting a guy that stole 7 bucks from his own charity to pay his kid’s boy scout fee.
Let’s see do I vote for my current congressman or that democrat sitting in a jail cell?
There has got to be a way for the party to clean this up. By the stories, this guy should not be in the race at all. And he may be off the rails so much that he refuses to resign.
OTOH, wasn’t there a Repub rep from Dunwoody or nearby that got elected despite a DUI with children in the car?
Don’t waste effort on trying to clean up an unknown running in a district where he never had a chance.
.
Tom Taylor driving 25 mph over the speed limit packing heat dead drunk at 2:30pm in the afternoon with a car full of teenagers that aren’t your kids may have been re-elected because he had no opposition. He’s not running for re-election this time around.
Bibb County Macon is not only going to close the libraries, but also defund transit – plus lose the federal match for the bus system, close the parks, the county museums, the county owned golf course and short the county pension. Because no one wants to raise the mileage rate to pass a budget.
https://www.macon.com/news/local/article216680320.html
“An additional 3 mills would result in about $12 million in revenue for the county. It would cost a homeowner with homestead exemption about $100 more on a property valued at $100,000.”
From reading various articles, it seems Macon-Bibb County is facing an increase in the cost of meeting their promises to local government retirees (police, fire, education, etc).
The problem is facing a lot of local governments. Low wages were offset by good benefits so folks would work for the local government. No one expected healthcare costs to rise so much in 30 years.
“National health spending — which includes spending by federal and state governments, the private sector and individuals — has risen from just 5% as a share of the economy in 1960 to 17.9% in 2016, according to the most recent data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It’s projected to rise to 19.9% by 2025.”
https://money.cnn.com/2018/01/30/news/economy/health-care-costs-eating-the-economy/index.html
We have to revamp the healthcare system.
Meanwhile cities such as Macon will need to convince their citizens an extra $100 a year (or more) will be worth it.
As far as libraries go, we could get by having online libraries only.
No county needs to have a county golf course.
Parks will likely be neglected and unsafe.
The museums could also go online only.
Other countries have private buses for commuters.
Public pensions traditionally don’t cover healthcare after 65 unless Georgia has insurance rules different then most states.
Most public systems underpaid the pension fund because it’s a quick way to lower the budget 10 -15 years ago when less folks pulled off it and thus you didn’t have to raise the millage a .25 of point back then…
From January 2018:
“That said, the hungry budget-draining dragon here is “Other Post Employment Benefits” (OPEB). These are benefits that don’t include pensions, such as health care, life insurance, disability, legal and other services to retirees.
The county is going to have to ante up $4 million toward OPEB next year and $8 million in 2020 and more funds in subsequent years. ”
https://www.macon.com/opinion/editorials/article194362479.html
Teachers have a healthcare plan for retirees via the State Health benefit plan.
As I stated most plans don’t cover heath care AFTER 65. Example, my uncles county pension covers him from 62 till 65. At 65 he will legally switch to Medicare, with an option to buy a secondary plan and/or a Part D threw his pension.
Having early retirements might not have been a money saver in the long run, since they will now pull on the pension system for a longer time.
Tariff war – is this wining?
https://www.axios.com/trump-trade-tariffs-china-farming-prices-19910e01-bbdc-4d51-b0e9-8b561c3bd45c.html
Since we are so focused on Abrams loan, would someone explain what Kemp is running on other than attacking Abrams? So far all I see is
Hate immigrants
Cut social spending
Attack the biggest employer in the state (Delta) due to the revocation of NRA discounts
More Guns…Less restrictions
Thats his platform. Seems pretty weak to me.
Oh, and having a bigger “truck”
Scott, it does seem pretty shallow. I think GA can do better. Starting to look like the last presidential election….Elect someone to run the state than has trouble running her own life or maybe someone that will keep GA a conservative state…
Can you tell me what the liberals are running on in the midterms or the next presidential election other than we hate trump, we want to raise your taxes, illegals for everyone and by gosh I have no idea what else?
Latest results indicate that hating Trump doesn’t do as well as Medicare for all.
Medicare for all can be accomplished through rebalancing budget, or maybe taxes. But if you pay taxes and get something in return, it’s more of a user fee.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwww…..
Blacks just ain’t buying it!!!! DTM, please ask BoffaD if he be supporting this Sista’!
https://apnews.com/8f6c754ff73443c5b539adf76c4cf25d
He aint. Calls her a backstabber. Says if Trump is so bad, why did she work with him for 15 years? Great point.
You didn’t read the article obviously.
Hey, Noway. I’ve been out of town, just checking by tonight to see how you conservatives are faring with the socialists on here. Speaking of how Blacks are thinking, can you say 36% Trump as of today?
https://www.kusi.com/rasmussen-poll-trump-approval-rating-among-black-voters-reaches-36/
I think we have some runners from today’s Democrat plantation!
Hmmm, 36%. If the conservatives ever got that % of black voters, the libs are no longer a party. What a breath of fresh air to America. That is almost too optimistic even for me!
That might actually end all of the race baiting nonsense once and for all and lead to folks picking themselves up and ending the liberal plantation of pandering, lousy policies and low expectations. Folks might actually focus on character instead of identity victim politics.
Would we finally be over the racist, racist lies and hatred? The nonstop idiocy that we have to put up with in this country and even on this blog?! Say aint so. Hope is a great thing. Less sniveling and America hating?
Could you imagine anyone still selling the refried Karl Marx putrid mush over and over again and never learning a darn thing?
Sally! Glad you’re back! Thanks for that positive piece of news! Libs are in for a predictable shellacking come November!!
Thanks Noway, glad to be back! Long trips are not my cup of tea; I love my own bed and comforts of home.
Yep, I bout fell out when I saw that news report!
Hate to burst your bubble but Rasmussen has been one of the worst polling outfits out there.
Yea Caroline, they told you numb nuts that Hillary was going to win in a route and had a 99% chance of winning at 8:00 pm on election night! Oh my God my side hurts.
Someone get that Youtube video and post it of all the liberal wizards saying how Trump would never win! That is one of my all time favorites. Now Caroline is taking them to bank again!! Oh please help!
Noway, you are going to weigh more than Haystacks Calhoun after all of this low hanging fruit!
I was going to swear not to post anything for a day or two but this blog and these posts are like watching a train wreck!!
Noway has two words: diabetic coma!!
Well, you can continue to believe false things. It is your right as an American. The polls have been more right than wrong. Y’all are absolutely stuck on one day in November 2016 it seems because it’s all been downhill since then. Every other poll has Trump around 40% approval. Rasmussen has a reputation for false numbers not that it matters to you. I’m sure you were saying Conor Lamb wasn’t going to win in PA either. Right?
Carolina, how are Governor Carter and Senator Nunn doin’? Awwww Nawwww!
You two guys are Abbott & Costello come back to life! 🙂 I love it!
I wonder if this is really going to go to appeallate court. NSFW language in the video. https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/breakingnews/story/2018/aug/15/excessive-force-claim-dropped/477000/
OK. Show of hands: Who’s excited about the media “collusion” tomorrow of the 100 editorial page columns all aligned against Trump? No, it’s ok…let us all know!
There’s a ton of research that shows that liberalism, higher levels of education, and higher levels of literacy are all positively correlated. That’s why people who read, and more academics, etc. are generally aligned with Democratic/progressive positions. Thus media, college professors, etc. will more likely be progressive than not.
Pretty sure there’s plenty of research on that, not that I’m going to dig it up for you.
The liberal polls might show that. In reality don’t you simply find arrogance, ignorance and intolerance? Be honest. If they are so bright why in the hell are they radical socialists?! Give me a break!
I’m so offended anytime the weathermen “collude” to tell me about the impending Hurricane. I mean, clearly reporting on the fact that is happening in front of them isn’t the case, it has to be some new world order leftist-Soro-run narrative against Global Warming. Well I’m glad Noway ain’t buying it.
That said…I’m assuming ole Noway realizes Manafort will be found Guilty.
LOLOL! I’m sure he will be convicted of tax related crimes. You bet. And nary a single consonant or vowel will have any relevance to Trump. And, Jack…pop a quick nitro glycerin pill from that brown pill bottle that accompanies you every where. Go ahead. I’m also equally sure that he’s gonna get pardoned. Quickly. Awwww Nawwww…
Has a lot of relevance to Trump. Remember he worked for free for Trump as campaign manager. Only one other president has had a campaign manager in prison and guess who that was?
Wait, I though you were on probation…you are the only person in America including the Judge and Mueller that said this has a damn thing to do with Trump. What are you listening too? Clearly not facts. Why let them get in the way right?
I don’t know what you are talking about. However, I merely stated facts. Manafort worked for Trump’s campaingn for free despite the fact that he was millions of dollars in debt at the time according to the prosecution. Manafort is also the one that picked Pence for VP. Richard Nixon’s campaign manager also went to jail.
What else is new? It is us ally more than that!! Finally we will have an honest news day. At least they are admitted nothing they write tomorrow is honest.
Honestly what else can those biased buffoons come up with? Stormy 2. Amorosa are whoever that is? I don’t know why I want to help the liberals but how about focusing on something that might 1. actually help somebody get a job? 2. Get an unbiased education 3. Encourage someone not to knock someone up and not be called a racist pig.
I have heard nothing positive going on 2 years…has anyone else?
Here’s a thought, if Trump stopped tweet stupid stuff that then has to get rehashed for 36 hours his good press would stay relative for more then 20 mins.
“Stereotyper. Hater.” This from Balance. Just like calling all Trump voters “racists” God, this is just too dang easy.
Not at all. You can hate without being racist. This was about stereotyping Dems. And the stereotype was accompanied by what I sensed as disproportionate negatively aggressive emotion. Thus- you gonna hate, I’m gonna call it out.
Also, DTM can handle himself. Unless you are him.
Then you handle yourself.
Wait, you probably already handle yourself too much.
Balance…de truth hurts sometimes!
Pretty good there! I laughed. No hatred. Humor. Hey, can you work on that sourpuss Andrew? He is so full of himself. He just seems miserable all the time. I am almost starting to feel sorry for him….
And, haters gonna hate hate, players gonna play play play, shake it off, shake it off!
I have to confess to the room that ‘ol Noway is getting fat…eating all of this low-hanging fruit everyday!! This would make anybody a glutton!
Noway, I can see your point. I suggest a hot yoga class. A headband for the mullet, a wife beater T shirt! Yea that’s it!
You would look darn good in those tights! I have a visual here of you and Hillary doing those yoga stretches together! You know she said she had 30,0000 email talking about Yoga and Chelsea’s wedding. And emails to Bill….so she deleted them. Remember those whoppers! Then we find out Bill doesn’t do email. I bet she wishes she didn’t either!
Either get better lawyers or stop doing stupid stuff.
From December 2017:
“Republican Presidencies Have 91X the Convictions Rate of Democratic Presidencies
Democratic presidencies dating back to 1970 have produced exactly one criminal conviction from investigations into the administration. Republican presidencies have had a total of 91.
It is worth taking a second to let that sink in: three Democratic presidents. Six Republican presidents. Ninety-one convictions to one.
If you look at criminal indictments, not just convictions, its not a prettier picture: GOP Presidencies had 124 criminal indictments. Democrats had 3. This data comes from a table helpfully shared by PBS.
Yes, you read it correctly: Democrats have less total indictments since 1970 than Donald Trump does since taking office this year. And less convictions: 2-1.
Prison sentences? Also no help: 14 for GOP Presidencies, one for Democratic ones.
You can’t make this kind of stuff up. If you heard it in House of Cards, you wouldn’t believe it…”

Also, I promised I would defend participation trophies.
This will require dialogue, but I will try to fill in gaps.
1) Participation is a necessary prerequisite to winning;
2) Not all kids are extroverted or intrinsically motivated to participate in each and every activity;
3) Parents who are encouraging kids to get involved in this or that will appreciate all the help they can get (even if it’s a symbolic 49 cent certificate);
4) Participation is a step up for some kids;
5) We all still like “attendance awards” at schools? Same basic concept;
6) Even that 49 cent certificate or trashy trophy can be memorabilia for a child, meaning it aids in memory recall of the experience;
7) What about “Most Improved” awards? Are those just saying you didn’t win? No, improvement is critical and important, and a manner of winning, and the award recognizes the efforts. Participation is just the discounted first step on the road to improvement and winning.
Aren’t all those positive reasons and possible positive outcomes worth 49 cents?
Hating participation awards is narrow-minded, egoistic, a scourge on sportsmanlike ethics, and cheap.
The main reason I vote is to get that sticker, “I Voted”. : )
Anyway, I agree with BTB. It doesn’t hurt and it may help. I know my daughter enjoyed getting little trophies for playing sports and cheer-leading. She got too jaded by age 12 to keep them but she still has the ones from earlier.
Balance you knocked that one out of the park! Again. I agree with you!
I coached baseball for a dozen years. You have 12 kids on a team… You can only have one MVP, maybe a co-MVP, a hitting award, pitching award, baserunning award, most improved, Charlie Hustle, save the game award and you are almost at 12. Best attitude. Then you have to get creative. Funny.
Something they can put on the wall and honestly be pleased about it later on when they pull it out of the closet. Last thing you want to do is hurt some kid.
And I was pretty darn good at it. Even the 12th kid, had a blast on our teams. We didn’t make him feel bad if he made an error or struck out. Keep swinging.
I see these guys years later and we howl at the old stories. Some of my best memories.
My thing on participation trophies is that it makes some of these most miserable, spoiled embarrassing snowflakes sound as obnoxious and self -absorbed as they often are. Actually just participating indeed a lot about life. If you show up that is half the battle. Don’t call in sick. Show up…with a good attitude! Folks will remember that. Don’t be a little whiner. That’s it. Its all good.
I think the anti-participation trophy rhetoric must’ve started out as part of an intergenerational hit piece on Millennials. If the point was to say Millennials feel that things “should just be handed to them”, it misses the point that you don’t get anything unless you participate and step up to the plate.
So, since I hit it out of the park, where do I get my trophy for winning GAPol for the day ;b
It’s in the mail Balance!
‘Bout time….What the heck took so long?

Moscow politics. Following what his role model Putin does. I’m glad to see you admitting that it’s what you support too.
Not quite. The FBI, IRS, Justice Department, FISA Courts hamstrung all of the country trying to rig an election, ruin people that were innocent and the buffoons couldn’t stop whatever the Russian were actually doing. Losers.
Getting rid of these biased dangerous hacks is a service to the country. Like he said, lets get rid of swamp lizards. There are so many more.
Is this Groundhog Day??!? Methinks so. Ladies and Gentlemen…as a public service, I present to you The Hag’s successor, Andrew Cuomo and…wait for it…The Democrat Party!
https://nypost.com/2018/08/15/cuomo-says-america-was-never-that-great/
Forget WW1 and 2. Forget the Moon. Yeah, that’s it…
America has a lot of negative stuff in its history as well.
Trail of tears, putting US citizens in internment camps during WW2, breaking every treaty the US government ever signed with the Native Americans, Dred Scott decision, Bay of Pigs, lynching, NSA spying on US citizens, etc.
WW2 and the moon landing were positives.
I think on the whole the US has been force for good since 1900.
I see Trump as a negative and believe he will be ranked below Warren Harding by historians.
He’s probably going to be rated the worst president in the history of the country. Even Nixon will be above him. I guess the GOP found their solution to salvaging Nixon’s reputation and it took someone who looks to have done some of the same stuff as Nixon but used help from the Russians.
Trump seems to be our era’s William Harding.
Harding didn’t do much prior to being elected, lucked into the presidency, kept his mistress around, cut taxes, reduced immigration, didn’t like the working man much, and liked to go on vacation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_G._Harding
But he didn’t conspire against America. So there’s that on the side of Harding.
Naw, it is toss up between Andrew Johnson that racist democrat who was a Klan Lover right after the Civil War and Jimmy Carter and Obama—all in a 3 way tie for ineptitude.
“all in a 3 way tie for ineptitude.”
Where is the Wall? Where are the infrastructure improvements?
No effort at bipartisanship. Endorsed Roy Moore. Increased the deficit. Alienated most of our allies.
And to top it off- he pissed off the Canadians. You have to be pretty mean to piss off Canada.
Talk about ineptitude.
Well, Trump is a klan lover too so no one will consider that fact when placing Trump below Johnson and nobody else agrees with the rest of what you are saying.
Oh, yeah, I forgot. There’s never been another president who endorsed a pedophile.
Are you talking about Woodrow Wilson? You really make little sense even on such a simple subject.
Most whites were racist back then, including Lincoln.
James Buchanan is generally thought of the worst president in US history for doing nothing while the US slid into civil war, IIRC. I doubt Trump will be able to top that.
Nixon would probably come in on a Top-10 list, but just barely.
All he has to do is beat Andrew Johnson, Jimmy Carter and Obama. That is like a blind hawg rootin’ up an acorn!!
He’ll easily fall below all of them.
Who was the president during the Trail of Tears? The Father of the democratic party. Same party of the Civil War, and the Klan. Anyone disagree with this history lesson? What party was against women voting? Who was the party of segregation?
Would that be Trump’s hero Andrew Jackson? Also, you guys keep having to go back 100 years to find anything the least bit forward thinking in the GOP.
Caroline, freedom, low taxes, more growth, a strong military, a strong economy, more jobs, energy independence, honoring the police, respecting our borders and law and order….the entire platform….so you think that hasn’t been in vogue for 100 years? Well that may be why you are a radical socialist democrat.
That’s cool. Its a free country. However you make my point perfectly! Better than I could! Thanks!
Anyone here want to move to Cuba or Venezuela? Noway, was that some of the lowest hanging FRUIT you have ever seen?
So low you actually didn’t even have to reach!
Authoritarianism is weird description of “freedom”.
Well you those racist bast—ds have made a few shifts don’t you think? It would be nice if the libs stopped the perpetual race baiting today!! You know a prime example is how many times that truly racist pig, Al Sharpton met me with Obama? I think it is over 150 times? How many racist marches can one man organize? How many times has Sharpton met with Trump? Case closed!
Thanks, Chucky…

Both of them are so gross they deserve each other.
Who, James Carville and dragging that dollar bill through the trailer park as he destroyed the women abused by yes, Bill Clinton? And there was Hillary leading the bimbo eruption teams…
Carville didn’t have to do anything. These are the Trumper pedophile gals.
This is in reply to Andrew’s comment at the top. Having trouble with the reply button on the mobile device.
There aren’t enough democrat voters in Fulton and Dekalb for her to win. Even if Obama was on the ballot driving turnout. Her only hope is surbuban white women. She doesn’t have to sell out. She could focus on education and school safety. Even gun control works with that demographic. There is a way for her to be competitive but she will do what you say and focus on race, anti-Trump super liberal policies for her Fulton And Dekalb base. And she will get 42% of the vote and everyone will wonder what she did wrong against a country
bumkin like Kemp.
There are two schools of thought on this. 1 is the Abrams/Obama school of thought and the other is the Clinton/Nunn school of thought which is the one you are promoting. People can point to both as examples of not winning.
Personally I think Kemp represents what Georgia has become sorry to say.
I know Kemp. He is not what you see in his ads, but that is what got him the win. Clinton and Nunn won. Abrams won’t and Obama didn’t win Georgia. Georgia isn’t ready for a liberal. Six years? probably not. Ten years? Maybe.
I’ve said this many times on this blog. You can hope and wish. Or you can win. You can hope your people turn out (even though she doen’t have enough liberal voters in Atlanta to win). You can wish that your opponet makes a fatal mistake. Or you can play to win.
I just hope that Kemp puts good folks around him to help him govern.
I was talking Hillary Clinton and Michelle Nunn not Bill & Sam. Hillary did slightly better than Obama but still not enough.
All we know of Kemp is his ads and his record as SOS which was not good and bordered on gross incompetence. You can know him personally and say he’s not really like that and I can believe you but it’s not what he’s presenting to the voters. Abrams best hope is Republican voters sitting home in November.
Sitting home? You are delusional! With TGM asking for their help and undoubtedly gonna campaign for Kemp, his voters are gonna crush Stacey and her Libs!!
He tied himself to Trump who could blow up any minute. Does Kemp like the idea of Trump’s campaign manager laundering money? A lot of things regarding corruption on the Trump transition team came out in the Manafort trial. I guess you are saying that conservatives are okay with all this?
I don’t see how she can tie her campaign to race and expect to win. I don’t think the Stone Mountain comments were very helpful.
Her policies aren’t tailored to DeKalb and Fulton, that is an unfair and pretty stupid comment. This isn’t the 1980’s.
On the opposite side, the problem I see with Kemp is that he is an incompetent boob (true) who fancies himself a hick (not really) and ties himself together with Trump (absolutely). That can easily blow up in his face. He is about as fake as that accent.
Did someone say that the libs could win the election if conservatives all voted on Monday and Libs voted on Tuesday? If that happens, Stacey wins. Landslide. Other than that, I don’t think so!
Armin – name one bus system that provides intracity service in Georgia, the US, or anywhere else in the world (Hong Kong is a property development company) that is privately operated. There isn’t one. Public transit is about getting workers to jobs for the most part.
