Pope Kudos to Michael Williams and his crack campaign staff for demonstrating the type of initiative, attention to detail, and follow-through he plans to bring to the Governor’s office: http://flagpole.com/news/in-the-loop/michael-williams-deportation-bus-failed-on-so-many-levels The scheduled stop was at a Cracker Barrel in Oconee County—and Williams didn’t give the restaurant chain a heads-up. Cracker Barrel issued the following statement after numerous locals contacted them: At Cracker Barrel, we work hard to foster a culture that is welcoming and inclusive for our guests and employees, founded in mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. Cracker Barrel is not a political organization and has no party or political affiliation. Our focus is on delivering our mission of Pleasing People and serving everyone who walks through our doors with genuine hospitality, not politics. We are not sponsoring this event or supporting Mr. Williams’ campaign stops in any way, and per our company policy, we will not allow him – or any political candidate – to host an event on Cracker Barrel’s property. We take pride in showing our communities and our country that the hospitality we practice is indeed welcoming and inclusive to all. If you’re gonna try and get attention via a desperate and over-the-top publicity stunt, at least nail the logistics. Shoot, if the task of picking up a telephone and contacting a venue is too difficult for you, you can save some face by not being a coward and actually showing up. This is indicative of the type of Governor Williams plans to be: details don’t matter, basic competency doesn’t matter, follow-through and initiative don’t matter… all that matters is the attention and recognition. That he’s surrounded himself with inept campaign staff only furthers his problem (sorry Will, but it’s the truth). *It should be noted that Williams – whose campaign manager has frequently called other candidates pansies – was too much of a wimp to exit his RV at the stops the Deportation Bus was able to make. So much for being a “fearless” conservative. May 17, 2018 10:11 AM Log in to Reply chamblee54 The case of #BBQBecky is well known by now. What is not being reported is that the park did not allow portable charcoal grills to be used. Burning charcoal is not a right guaranteed by the constitution. https://chamblee54.wordpress.com/2018/05/17/charcoal-grills-in-oakland-parks/ May 17, 2018 12:50 PM Log in to Reply Indypendant Good guys with(out) their guns… http://www.onlineathens.com/news/20180516/ar-15-rifle-pistol-stolen-from-pickup May 17, 2018 2:50 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 Good gal with…a water pitcher!! Imagine what would happen to say, Atlanta, if the white elite neighborhoods were allowed to secede and create their own fiefdoms. May 17, 2018 5:46 PM Log in to Reply Will Durant Milton was formed out of unincorporated Fulton County as have been many other incorporations in recent years. To my knowledge this is first allowing a secession from an existing city. May 17, 2018 6:00 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 Gorgeous Gal with a Gun! Several other members of the organization mocked the Kent State chapter via Twitter. Ms. Bennett said she tried to defend herself, lashing out at the other groups in Facebook posts. That’s when she got a call from Turning Point’s chief operational officer, Tyler Bowyer. During their conversation, Ms. Bennett says Mr. Bowyer told her that the diaper incident was inappropriate because it ‘gave the left a lot of ammo to take these pictures and make memes out of them.’ ‘It’s not funny.’ Ms. Bennett said the COO told her. ‘Nothing about this is funny. Now every time Charlie Kirk tweets they tweet back pictures of him in a diaper.'” May 18, 2018 7:24 AM Log in to Reply Noway2016 Thanks, Libs!! Thalidomide, typhoid fever, botulism… food and drug borne illnesses rarely seen now due to regulations. But, as we still see occasionally, some people still try to sell tainted products anyway: https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2015/09/21/442335132/peanut-exec-gets-28-years-in-prison-for-deadly-salmonella-outbreak Others may do it unknowingly, that’s why we require permits to sell food- so we can be sure people know how to do it properly. Makes sense. I know I wouldn’t want food from someone who allowed a snot-nosed kid to reach in and grab some popcorn before me. According to the article, “a customer reportedly saw another person reach into the popcorn machine barehanded.” I’m sorry, but I don’t want popcorn that’s been fondled by some snot-nosed kid or dude that may not have washed his hands.
