Pope Noted policy wonk Paul Ryan is expected to announce that he won’t be running for re-election. I’ll give Trump credit, running a spineless hack like Paul Ryan out of Washington is a positive accomplishment. Glad he was able to shaft poor people and explode the defect in exchange for some sweet, sweet Koch money before absconding out the door. April 11, 2018 9:17 AM Log in to Reply ScottNAtlanta The funny part is that Ryans seat is probably going to flip. He is not in a very republican district. Its like R+2. This election would make me happy if 1. Marsha Blackburn loses 2. Dave Brat (VA-7) loses They are the more obnoxious people in politics (and biggest liars). Nice that I can scratch Ryan off the list. I guess he ran out of snake oil. April 11, 2018 9:28 AM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope Selfishly, I wanted to see Ryan’s dumb face giving a concession speech on election night. I look forward to seeing him bring his incompetent and cowardly “leadership” style to the Janesville PTA. April 11, 2018 9:42 AM Log in to Reply Benevolus I’ve seen some PTA’s in action. He might not win a position there. He’d be better off with some non-profit, like suppressthevote.org or something. April 11, 2018 11:49 AM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Also interesting he’s resigning on the day the CBO is releasing a report detailing all the ways he’s exploded defecits into the foreseeable future. I don’t think I can fully capture the many ways Ryan is an intellectual fraud and an awful person.
