Final Qualification: Federal
All of our current U.S. Representatives have qualified to run again. Rep. John Lewis (D, GA-5) is the only incumbent not to draw a challenger from either party. Rep. Rob Woodall’s 7th District has the most contestants at 8, with six Ds and two Rs qualifying. Rep. Tom Graves (R, GA-14) picked up a Democratic challenger in Steven Lamar Foster, a Physician Entrepreneur. Rep. Austin Scott (R, GA-8) has two Republican challengers, though no Democrats qualified. Karen Handel has no GOP opposition, so she will face one of four Democratic challengers in November. Rep. Hank Johnson (D, GA-4) has a Democratic challenger and two Republican challengers.
