DAY 3 of Georgia Qualifying: US Reps and Statewide
The third day of qualifying has come and gone. Rep. Rob Woodall (R, GA-7) still has not qualified re-election. Sec. of State Brian Kemp and Clay Tippins qualified today, bringing the count up to six (4 Rs, 2 Ds) for the gubernatorial race. We are guaranteed November contests for all statewide races, except for the Agricultural Commissioner race. No one has stepped up to face Commissioner Gary Black.
Reps. Hank Johnson (D, GA-4), John Lewis (D, GA-5), Austin Scott (R, GA-8), and Tom Graves (R, GA-14) still do not have any opposition. GA-10 (Rep. Jody Hice) has the most candidates so far at six.
