GA Qualifying Day 2: US Representatives

Day 2 of qualifying has come and gone for the 14 U.S. Representative districts in Georgia. Rep. Rob Woodall (R, GA-7) is the only incumbent not to qualify yet.

A few tidbits:

  1. Buddy Carter (R, GA-1) has picked up two Democratic challengers
  2. Sandford Bishop (D, GA-2) has a GOP challenger in Herman West, Jr.
  3. Five incumbents still do not face any opposition: Reps. Drew Ferguson (R, GA-3), Hank Johnson (D, GA-4), John Lewis (D, GA-5), Austin Scott (R, GA-8), Tom Graves (R, GA-14)
  4. Eugene Yu has qualified for the 3rd consecutive time as a Republican in GA-12
  5. If/when Rep. Woodall qualifies, he will have a GOP challenger in Shane Hazel
