Republican Jay Florence posts big numbers in Georgia Insurance Commissioner Money Race

ATLANTA – Jay Florence,  a Republican candidate for Insurance Commissioner filed his January 31 fundraising disclosure, showing he has $685,000 in total contributions. The campaign currently has $658,000 cash on hand.

“The citizens of Georgia deserve an Insurance Commissioner that has the experience needed to serve our state and a person the voters can trust,” said Florence. “I have traveled all around this state and everywhere I go – voters tell me that they want to vote for a candidate for Insurance Commissioner who looks out for them. We have had tremendous momentum and support from across the state.  We are excited and look forward to bringing our conservative message and common sense solutions to all Georgians” said Jay Florence. 

The primary election for the Insurance Commissioner seat being vacated by Ralph Hudgens will be held on May 22. The winner of that Primary will face the Democratic nominee in the General Election to be held on November 6th of this year.
