Duncan Releases Ad for Lt. Gov. Campaign

Former State Representative Geoff Duncan (R, District 26) has released a campaign ad entitled “Go Hard.” Duncan resigned his seat effective September 18 to focus on his Lt. Gov. campaign. Duncan took a swing at Sen. David Shafer in a statement released after submitting his resignation to Gov. Nathan Deal: “Moving forward, I will expose corruption and wrongdoing.  David Shafer’s Pay to Play political charade will soon be coming to an end.”

The 90+ second ad is centered around a baseball theme where Duncan is shown repeatedly throwing pitches from a mound. Duncan was a pitcher for Georgia Tech and then spent six years in the minor leagues before entering the business world. The ad highlights some of Duncan’s goals as Lt. Governor: ethics reform, school choice, real tax reform, and keeping rural hospitals open and eventually thriving. While the trendy buzzword “outsider” is not used, it is certainly implied in the ad.
