Clarkston, GA, the most ethnically diverse spot in America. Afraid. Oh, you will be. So very sadz. This isn’t good. You served my father in the Clone Wars. Behold our betters. Yes, it is a hostile environment. Not your father’s bank fraud. What happens when you eat like The Rock. Disappointing. Just don’t move your head and you should be ok. What chief of staff would ever say: “Unless things change, I’m not quitting. I’m not getting fired.” Or Kelly insisting Trump wants to get rid of nuclear weapons, despite the summer meeting that caused Tillerson to call Trump a moron when Trump proposed increasing nuclear arms, or a Trump tweet that “The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes”. . Kelly had been maintaining dignity by avoiding outright lies, but that’s crumbling too. Kelly this week on Trump: “He’s a very thoughtful man. He takes information in from any avenue he can receive it.” October 13, 2017 7:59 AM Log in to Reply Dave Bearse Last week the NYT laid out reasons that decertifying Iran compliance is stupid. . • It ignores that the deal is working. • It sends the wrong message to Iran, and that’s dangerous. • It doesn’t help in the fight against the Islamic State. • It ignores the complexity of the region. • It undermines trust in America and the country’s ability to negotiate in the future. • It would alienate our allies and make a bad situation with North Korea even worse. . Why should North Korea, or anyone else for that matter, negotiate with the US on anything,, since Trump is making clear that treaties and deals with the United States have no value?. Pope Trump announced an executive order last night ending Obamacare cost sharing payments, a move that will lead insurers to pull out of existing marketplaces and prohibitively expensive premiums for folks making 100% to 250% of the federal poverty line. … Trump’s grand strategy appears to be “deliberately sabotage the ACA to force Democrats to the table on repeal/replace” and he’s already sent some tweets this morning aimed at the Democrats. What Trump probably doesn’t know is that Democrats and Republicans were already working on actual fixes to Obamacare. This latest move from Trump destroys those efforts. Most importantly, by taking active steps to blow up Obamacare, Trump can no longer blame premium increases on the inherent flaws of Obamacare… this is the legislative equivalent of “you break it, you buy it.” As we already saw with BCRA, AHCA, and the other equally horrible legislative proposals, there’s a strong contingent of Congressional Republicans willing to watch the healthcare system burn. Trump’s options at this point are a) let it burn and take the blame for cancellations, death spirals, and premium hikes; or b) have the Democrats bail him out. … Short version: Trump thinks he just took a hostage, but doesn’t realize that he’s the one in danger. Millions of people benefit!” . “Health Insurance stocks, which have gone through the roof during the ObamaCare years, plunged yesterday after I ended their Dems windfall!” . Yep, premiums will be going up because insurers were making too much money. It’s like water off a ducks back. We’ll have another misguided, misinformed, deceptive, fake news-as-definitive evidence entry tomorrow or the next day. The “winning” isn’t in the text, it’s in the action. A part of me wishes that Trump could follow through with his threats to punish fake-news outlets. The vast majority of RW media would (or should) get shut down first. Of course this is dangerous and (hopefully) not actionable so I’ll just have to console myself that the mainstream news annoys him so much. October 13, 2017 2:14 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope Trump’s refusal to certify the Iran deal is a move designed solely to soothe his delicate and fragile ego. Corker was right, the White House is an adult daycare center. He says many male stars and executives are literally shaking in their boots as a result of this Weinstein expose. According to him, this is just the beginning of what will come out!
