Here: Speaking of fireworks, the tax on fireworks has added more than $1 million to the state’s coffers. A sheriff’s officer was stabbed this past Monday in Walker County. Thankfully, he is on the mend and in good spirits. Columbus State University pulls it’s “Safe Space” program. Rep. Earl Erhart calls the general establishment of safe spaces at college campuses “utter bigotry”. There: CNN is getting criticism over allegations that the news network found out, but chose not to release, the identity of a Redditor who created the GIF that Trump tweeted over the weekend. President Donald Trump isn’t pleased with China over North Korea. Apparently, some people didn’t understand NPR’s tweet. Yonder: The tech behind fireworks. 20 years ago yesterday, a plucky little rover landed on Mars. Share this:TwitterFacebookTumblrRedditEmailPrint Related About Author nsmith Father. IT Geek. Any indication they aren’t? July 5, 2017 4:30 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 General Fund, x. Lots of votes still need to be bought! July 5, 2017 4:46 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 CNN made the poor parody creator “an offer he couldn’t refuse…” Let’s see, plays that depicts Trump’s killing are “artistic expression ” but plastering the CNN logo on a rasslin’ clip is bad? CNN are Thugs who will soon find themselves outside the WH fence. July 5, 2017 5:08 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope Hey Noway, you like rasslin’ GIFs? Here’s a rasslin’ GIF: https://twitter.com/mcjesse/status/881533437148098560 As for #CNNBlackmail, I didn’t read that sentence as a threat. Then again, I’m biased against middle-aged anti-Semites that use the anonymity of the Internet to spread their disgusting hatred for my fellow Jews. July 5, 2017 5:49 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 Then why would CNN eventually “decide” to publish the guy’s name? Of course it’s a threat. Even you aren’t that dense. July 5, 2017 6:40 PM Log in to Reply bethebalance All threats are not blackmail. If someone has the legitimate right to prosecute a certain action, it’s lawful, not blackmail- like how most lawyers will, maybe even regularly, “threaten” further legal action in the absence of the recipient ceasing and desisting something. July 5, 2017 9:25 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 Nice string of irrelevant words, Balance. CNN ain’t lawyers and they have no “case” to “prosecute” this blogger for and ohhhhh, they cannot issue a “cease and desist” order, either. This blogger was doing the ol’ Free Speech thang. The backlash to them for this “too cute by half” little statement is ongoing and severe. They really should just shut up. This is obviously an effort at blackmail. Using the vast, almost bottomless pit of resources of CNN to silence one guy?! Really?! Somebody, to quote the late Gus Grissom, realllllly “screwed the pooch” here!! LMAO! Anyone wanna take bets when the lawsuit against FNN is filed?!!?!? July 5, 2017 9:40 PM Andrew C. Pope If you’re afraid of your boss, family, and friends finding out you’re a bigoted anti-Semite, maybe don’t post bigoted, anti-Semitic things online. The First Amendment protects you from government censorship of speech, it doesn’t not insulate you from the real world consequences of being a terrible person. Don’t we tell teenagers to be careful what they post on the Internet and social media? Shouldn’t the same lessons apply to a middle-aged dude posting “dank” Donald Trump memes on Reddit? July 5, 2017 10:36 PM bethebalance It was, nevertheless, a pretty petty way to deal with that bad dude. Where did DJT Jr. and others get the idea it was a kid? It was almost like they purposely spread a falshood to further the mess they knew CNN would step in. Masterful manipulation. July 5, 2017 9:36 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope DJT Jr. is a Patrick Bateman cosplayer that has never worked a job he could be fired from. Don’t ask “why” he does things. He’s an idiot. There is no other explanation necessary. There are no winners in any of this. CNN looked dumb. Snowflakes like DJTJr. looked dumb. The poster looked dumb.
