Interesting, I dare say, almost a clever way of continuing the “Sky-is-Falling”, “I-need-to-seize-your-hard-earned-tax-dollars” Apocalyptic Narrative of Man Made Global Warming. But this could actually be a blessing. When both poles also melt on Mars, due to the current cyclical activity of ‘ol Sol, maybe, just maybe, an ancient bacterium may also be thawed and released, thereby proving life on other planets does exist and thereby saving us a costly trip to Europa?!
Reading Bluestein et. al. in the AJC and learned about HB1, the spaceport bill. Deal reportedly has lined up a company, Vector, for a test flight in Camden County this summer. The test might be a little underwhelming–their latest, while a success, reached only an altitude of 4,500 feet.
Vector looks like your basic engineering start-up, with lots of talk about 3D printed parts, dedicated micro-launches, creating the PC of space. Very exciting. Good luck to them.
