Morning Reads for Friday, March 17, 2017
Everybody’s Irish today!
- Get your Irish on in the ATL today.
- Finally. But there’s still plenty of time to screw it up.
- Heaven forbid.
- How do YOU say it?
- Dolly Parton keeping her word.
- Say it ain’t so!
- Final destination.
- Good grief.
- Good Grief, Part II.
- No matter what you think, you’re a racist.
- That didn’t take long.
- For those that follow The Steyn.
- Brexit gets nod from HRM.
No bills slated for today. Betcha a dollar they’re all in Savannah, you know, researching native customs. Or something.

Tax free daze….How do the legislators come up with so much time to diddle with sales tax exceptions and exemptions but no time to eliminate the growing internet loophole ?
The GA Amazon Law is a diddle. Spread sales taxes out and reduce the rate? Nah
These morning reads are like a table of contents into the right-wing media.
Guess we need to sort out what the Feds do and what is best done by state, local govt and causes/charities. The Feds are overwhelmed with identifying.
The Trump budget:
Make Andrew’s head explode daily. Welcome to our world over the past eight years.
You forgot the Paul Ryan look-alike pushing granny’s wheelchair off the cliff… But keep posting your lib pablum.
I know I’m surprised!

No wiretapping.
No surveillance.
He lied again.
He’s paranoid.
What now?
Everything else is a distraction.
Go read Levin’s info on this whole story and come back and try to say something semi intelligent.
Levin cites articles in NYT and other media outlets. Levin doesn’t have the sources, the fake news media claims that transcripts of intercepts exist. Put THOSE on the table fake news! He just puts together already published stories. Ruh-Roh!! Seriously, go to utube and listen to his explanation for 10-15 mins and see if it makes no sense? He ain’t a dope.
I’m looking forward to Congressional attention to the good times Trump had in a Moscow hotel since publication is the standard.
Where is the apology to Mr. Obama? Where is the apology to the American people?
Judging by that crowd in Nashville a couple of nights ago, no apologies needed! Lol!
Oh, there was an apology. Trump is lying again.
Like father like son? Scientists prove Snowflakery is inherited! Unlike the hoax of Global Warming this is Settled Science!

Oh, you want him to tell us all about that plan? He ain’t gonna say squat, I know, a first for a series of prezes who vomit out all our war plans.
One other concerning thing about the Trump Administration is the absolute lack of qualified people who will work for him or his Cabinet. DC is empty of expertise with a vindictive paranoid child at the top..
How does Tillerson/Trump think provoking N. Korea will play out? Do they think the lunatic will apologize and behave because we scold them? Isn’t the goal here to have a policy that avoids people getting killed? I hope our egos aren’t so bloated that we let that pudgy tyrant get under our skin.
!
After 3 hours, and 32 mins, I can report that the only folks from Under the Dome who were in the St Pats parade in Savannah were Sens. Jackson and Watson. Not even a local house member. Everyone will be here next year who is on a local or state ballot… Election year parades.
I’m off to find some lamb stew and colcannon, with a Smithwicks Red to wash it down.
Where do you recommend besides Kevin Barry’s?
If just drinking great Irish beer or whiskey, O’Connell’s downtown. Good selection. Any other weekend out of the year I would say Six Pence. Shepard’s pie, Bangers, and Guinness stew as consistently good. Most high end places are serving something ‘Irish’ this week end. Last year I had a lamb shank with stout gravy at now closed Sapphire Grill. Crystal Beer Parlor has the typical bastardized corned beef and cabbage (a bacon rasher and curly kale is the Irish original), Hitch is doing some southern twists on Irish classics, including lamb. We will see what I can find. Can always find mussels (and cockles, alive alive ohhh…) at Loves or I can raid Molly’s in Pooler, Wilmington Island or Richmond Hill if I want to avoid the crazy.
