Subject: Could casinos hurt local government, like paying for roads:
Point: “Backers of casino gambling in Georgia say it could create thousands of jobs and pump hundreds of millions of dollars into Georgia Lottery-funded education programs such as the HOPE Scholarship.” A deal breaker.
Solution Drumbeat: pump the tax money into transportation, statewide. No? Reject the bill.
Still licking his wounds, Senator “Geppetto” Rubio’s desperate Quest for Relevancy…
Thank God we have real statesmen like Sam Nunn who can see past the crap.
Unfortunately Nunn can’t vote, little Marco can and he wants his pound of flesh. Since when did Marco care about human rights which suddenly became his hot button issue yesterday? He’s still pissed that he had to run for re-election to a job he admittedly despises after losing badly to Trump even in his home state primary. He will end up voting yes to Tillerson but only after enjoying 15 min in the spotlight as the GOPer who could stop the nomination.
Wow, Trump elected and already the giant sucking sound is pesos converting to dollars, water flowing in California and John Lewis protesting ???…….Overreaction is a mass phenomenon generated by mass media……
Cruz truly busts the a$$es of his Dem colleagues regarding the rule of law. Damn, this guy is good. He needs to bring this kind of logic to the Supremes. Trump needs to nominate him on Day One.

LOL!…I didn’t wanna say anything…
From the upcoming Trivial Pursuit Snowflake Edition, “Who is the ONLY US Senator who has testified against another’s confirmation?” That’s right, Cory Booker. This was to be his springboard to the Oval Office?! LOL! You cannot make this stuff up….
Yesterday House dems temporarily lost John Lewis, their village idiot. The old windbag won’t sway any senators and Sessions will be confirmed. Lewis is a good example of why we need term limits.
Imagine Robert Duvall’s character in Apocalypse Now, in the helicopter saying, “I like the smell of groveling in the morning. It smells like…victory!”
“DNI Clapper Statement on Conversation with President-elect Trump
This evening, I had the opportunity to speak with President-elect Donald Trump to discuss recent media reports about our briefing last Friday. I expressed my profound dismay at the leaks that have been appearing in the press, and we both agreed that they are extremely corrosive and damaging to our national security.
President-elect Trump again affirmed his appreciation for all the men and women serving in the Intelligence Community, and I assured him that the IC stands ready to serve his Administration and the American people.
James R. Clapper, Director of National Intelligence”
The intel community is lined up, sniveling, giving the following line, “Yes sir, thank you sir, please sir, may I have another?”
Love this New Sheriff!
Drew, do you really think Trump brought in hookers to wee-wee on the very bed Obama slept in?! You ain’t a dummy but I still think you’re in shell shock. If Trump sucks just think about the margin of defeat the Dems will have in ’20. And this much is also true: no one will ever replicate what Trump did this election cycle.
They say this story was around even before the election. If it had a scintilla of truth to it, you can bet we’d have seen it before election day. I have done extensive oppo research for Repub candidates in the past years and I can tell you that if I ever got something like that, I’d have probably had a heart attack brought upon by the glee I would be feeling for finding something like this. Normally, my days were made if a tax lien or a DUI was unearthed or maybe a misstatement made at an event I was filming. This event simply did not happen and is not true.
So was Trump lying or just ignorant about what was in intelligence reports when he was denying the Russians had anything to do with DNC hacking?
CNN reporting on the two page intelligence report addendum and Buzzfeed publishing the memos in their entirety was timely.
It makes venal a consideration as an adjective describing the Trump Presidency. There’s at least as much truth in that that as Obama not being eligible to be President.
Lol!
Fishing chair take on Russia.
They hate our system of government.
They figured Hillary had the election in the bag.
They wanted to undermine her.
They, like China, believe our safeguards weak.
Dirt dug up on the anticipated winners (maybe).
Oops, shoulda got something on anticipated loosers.
Ok, losers blame the winners, eyes diverted.
Russia is ag’n us all, democrats misguided,
security ignored.
FISH ON…..
CIA nominee questioned about The Hoax and gay marriage. Lol! Good grief!! I wonder if CIA bathroom choices were discussed???

Anybody support the Snowflake boycott of LL Bean?
Charlie, commenting here because i cant find an email for the site or for you. Not sure what is going on or why, but Hassinger has stepped way past the level of discourse for this site. His latest insults to a commenter on his recent post is pretty beyond the pale. Even for him. You guys gotta rein that kind of thing in before you become something that you dont want. This place is a good space for intelligent discourse despite partisan differences of its visitors. I would hate to see that change.
