That was fast…Does that count for Helping Make America Great again? LOL! I’ll bet those Ford workers would say “yes!!” http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-11-18/trump-says-ford-called-to-say-keeping-lincoln-plant-in-kentucky November 18, 2016 8:20 AM Log in to Reply GeorgiaHack Complete and utter BS. The plant was never leaving and trump had nothing to do with it. You want to thank someone, thank the unions. ” In fact, Ford has regularly reiterated that it has no plans to close any of its U.S. manufacturing locations, something that would likely be impossible under the terms of its current contract with the United Auto Workers.” http://www.politico.com/story/2016/11/trump-ford-plant-tweet-231597 November 18, 2016 8:56 AM Log in to Reply Noway2016 Sure, Hack. November 18, 2016 1:01 PM Log in to Reply Ellynn It was listed in a set of share holders reports earlier this year they were not moving the Lincoln plants, but whatever makes you sleep better at night… November 18, 2016 2:32 PM Log in to Reply Dave Bearse He can’t be bothered to even read what his own link. November 21, 2016 12:36 AM zedsmith Man, what’s it like to have Georgiapol be one’s most lib-rul news source? November 18, 2016 10:00 AM Log in to Reply gcp Sessions looks to be an ok attorney general pick though I question some of his positions on drug issues. Pompeo would be a good CIA director. Now the question is why is Mitt Romney going to meet with Trump? Is he begging for a job or trying to unify the party? If he is job hunting he will lose the respect of his supporters. November 18, 2016 8:35 AM Log in to Reply The Eiger Mitt was invited to come speak with Trump. Not the other way around. He isn’t begging for a job. Even though I think he would be a great choice for Sec. of State I just don’t see it happening. I bet it’s more of a “bury the hatchet” meeting vs. a job interview. November 18, 2016 8:39 AM Log in to Reply gcp Ok. I don’t have evidence either way of the purpose or the origin of this meeting. Looks like he also met with Cruz but we don’t know the purpose of that meeting either. November 18, 2016 8:48 AM Log in to Reply The Eiger To bury the hatchet and move on. November 18, 2016 8:49 AM Log in to Reply Noway2016 I’m hoping the Cruz meeting included a tailor who was measuring for a Supreme Court robe. If the Libs though Scalia was a hard-assed originalist, they ain’t seen nuthin’ yet! November 18, 2016 8:52 AM Log in to Reply The Eiger I can not stand Cruz as a senator. I’ve made that pretty clear on this site. As a member of Congress you have to govern while still holding to your principals. It can be very difficult and that doesn’t mean voting no all the time and throwing your fellow republicans under the bus. Buuutttt, a supreme court justice doesn’t have to govern and only has to opine and be an ideologue. That is the definition of Ted Cruz. I can promise you he would be confirmed by the senate in a heart beat to get rid of him. Nothing would make me happier than to see Ted Cruz out of the senate and on the supreme court. I was a bigly fan of Antonin Scalia, but I also know that I would have hated him in the senate. November 18, 2016 9:03 AM Ellynn Roberts can not stand Cruz. If I was Roberts and you made me work with Cruz I might hold the senate responsible for any future misery Cruz might case and vote against everything the Senate passes that goes before me in the future. November 18, 2016 11:51 AM The Eiger I don’t really care what Roberts thinks. After the Obamacare ruling, he deserves Ted Cruz. November 18, 2016 12:04 PM Bart Eiger, Heard an interesting rumor on MJ today. Romney’s reputation is as a fixer, turnaround artist. How about putting him in charge of the totally f’d up VA? Made sense to me. Either way, it’s good to see Trump fulfilling his promise to try and unite the party while assembling a highly qualified team around him. It would be easy to dismiss Romney and Cruz after their behavior during the election, I’m not a fan of either. But both have talent that might be useful so Trump puts aside past differences to assemble a quality team. We are definitely in a new political world. November 18, 2016 10:40 AM Log in to Reply The Eiger I don’t think Romney is in line for a cabinet position. Obviously, I have been wrong on a lot of things this election cycle so who knows. I’d be happy with Romney in any position within the Trump administration. November 18, 2016 10:52 AM Log in to Reply bethebalance depends if Sessions remains ok with the KKK, on any level. if his thinking and feeling hasn’t fundamentally evolved, nay, turned entirely around, he will be considered a threat to democracy and civil rights for a large percentage of Americans, incl. myself. any action or omission of the OCR will be scrutinized for adherence to the Constitution. of course, historically, many states incl. AL just selectively left out adherence to the 14th amendment as part of their calls to uphold the Constitution. November 18, 2016 9:39 AM Log in to Reply bethebalance obv, the choices about Constitutional adherence is made by specific ppl, not the State. November 18, 2016 9:47 AM Log in to Reply Will Durant Sessions on marijuana from a Senate hearing: “I can’t tell you how concerning it is for me, emotionally and personally, to see the possibility that we will reverse the progress that we’ve made…. It was the prevention movement that really was so positive, and it led to this decline. The creating of knowledge that this drug is dangerous, it cannot be played with, it is not funny, it’s not something to laugh about, and trying to send that message with clarity, that good people don’t smoke marijuana.” November 18, 2016 10:41 AM Log in to Reply CoastalCat Steve Bannon. Jeff Sessions. Bookends with the KKK/neo-Nazi/alt-right in the middle. November 18, 2016 1:00 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope You mean, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III November 18, 2016 1:22 PM Log in to Reply The Eiger I did stumble on his full name the other day and laughed out loud. I have to point out that he is the third. Meaning his great great grandpappy probably served with the real Beauregard. I’m not going to knock the guy for naming his son after a civil war general. I may have done the same thing. November 18, 2016 1:53 PM Log in to Reply Ellynn Now Andrew, if you hold Beauregard against Sessions (it was his parents idea not his) then are you going to hold President Obama’s middle name against him and draw conclusions based on his middle name too? Let just stick to the facts. They are much more interesting anyway. November 18, 2016 2:37 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope Hey, just playing by the same rules folks who used Barack Hussein Obama like it was a bad thing. I think he sounds like a rejected Forrest Gump character. Which makes him the perfect person to represent the people of Alabama. November 18, 2016 3:30 PM Log in to Reply Dave Bearse New rules! November 19, 2016 3:21 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 Libs really oughtta think before speaking! Major league backlash forming against Hamilton. Broadway’s version of the Dixie Chicks? Lol! November 19, 2016 5:17 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope Yes, the “boycott” of a show that is completely sold out through November 2017 (and only because tickets haven’t been made available beyond that point) is really the death knell for Hamilton. Just like Starbucks is going to be run out of business by all of the brave, courageous souls buying Starbucks coffee and telling the barista their name is “Trump.” This “boycott” is being staged by a group of people that 1) don’t have tickets to see Hamilton; 2) likely can’t afford tickets to see Hamilton; and 3) were probably not inclined to go see a Broadway musical involving hip-hop and featuring a multi-racial cast in the first place. Honestly, though, what did Mike Pence expect? The actor playing lead in the musical is a gay and HIV positive. Mike Pence supports taking funding away from HIV/AIDS and redirecting it to conversion therapy, because apparently treating HIV/AIDS is less important than electrocuting gay people until they “decide” to be straight. On top of that, Pence has actively supported and/or signed legislation seeking to strip LGBT individuals of their equal rights. But look, at the end of the day, this was some first rate trolling. I have a hard time believing a noted homophobe actually wanted to go to a Broadway play. But, because Mike Pence strolled into Hamilton, we’re not talking about the racist AG nominee; the proposed National Security Advisor who believes Internet conspiracy theories and thinks Islam isn’t a religion; the wife-beating, anti-Semitic chief strategist; and the $25 million Trump just ponied up to settle a fraud case he was doomed to lose. … well done, Trump team, well done. November 19, 2016 7:48 PM Log in to Reply CoastalCat Yeah sold out one year in advance. Opened second troupe in Chicago. National tour in the works. Please for the love of gawd boycott so I have a chance of buying tix in this lifetime. All this hoopla is to deflect attention from Trump’s guilty plea and fine for running a fraudulent enterprise. Lock him up! November 19, 2016 5:25 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope Interesting insights from W. Oh don’t forget Bill snd Chelse, too. They’re all gonna be convicted! November 19, 2016 8:10 PM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope Hillary “sold her office for millions?” Chelsea and Bill, too? Please, tell me more about all the scandalous insights you’ve read about on patriotamericanewznetwork.biz November 19, 2016 8:49 PM Log in to Reply Noway2016 You and I have fought about this ad nauseam. She’s a crook and everyone knows it. AG Sessions will either prosecute her himself or let a special prosecutor do it. The Foundation is also gonna get nailed hard. The Foundation Board members may face criminal jeopardy for misuse of funds. Both Bill and Chel, as members of that board, will be at risk. And I am not even aware of the web page you cited. I’ll just go to Drudge! LOL! Regarding an Obama pardon, is it just me or are you also hearing the faint, ghostly voice of Gerald Ford saying, “Our long national nightmare is over…” November 20, 2016 9:39 AM Log in to Reply Andrew C. Pope “She’s a crook and everyone knows it” Might want to check your definition of “everyone.” I’m curious what AG Sessions is actually going to investigate and what the Foundation is going to get “nailed” for. If you’d like to lay out some facts from websites that don’t traffic in anti-Semitism, I’d be happy to read them. Honestly, I will fairly consider whatever credible evidence you’d like to put forward. But if the Justice Department wants to root out real, actionable misuse of charity funds, pay-to-pay politics, and violations of the Emoluments Clause and other ethics laws… there’s someone taking office in January that will likely provide a target rich environment. November 20, 2016 10:37 AM Noway2016 Ahhhh yes!!! World leaders renting out Trump hotel rooms! Those bastards!! You think Donald gave them free Nekkid Channels?! November 20, 2016 11:19 AM Andrew C. Pope It’s not just hotel rooms. Trump’s business will continue to be run by his kids, which is a massive conflict of interest and is going to be a nightmare for the ethics division in the WH counsel’s office http://nyti.ms/2fc0RZU November 20, 2016 11:55 AM Add a Comment Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
