Sorry, I couldn’t get past this line in the future Athens story: “We really believe in the wisdom of crowds,” said Jamie Green
LOL. Does Jamie believe in the wisdom of the 59+mil people that voted for Clinton or the 59+mil people that voted for Trump?
Now I need to go re-read and find out when the input session are.
Also, Happy Veteran’s Day to my grandfather who was stationed aboard the USS Boxer (CV-21) when the FJ-1 Fury took off, making it the first all jet aircraft to launch from a carrier. He said it was neat/loud at the time.
What would indicate that he’s referring to either?
Nothing. That comment is totally a reflection of where my mind has been.
Appreciate the link for businesses offering deals for veterans, but here is another with Veterans Day events – http://www.ajc.com/events/where-find-veterans-day-events-around-metro-atlanta/786vG1xZIs5WKWuJP14HZK/?icmp=AJC_internallink_08042016_digesttease_0804
The biggest parade will be tomorrow starting at 11:11am through downtown Atlanta – http://www.gavetsdayparade.org/parade-info/4588208110
From General Patton – “Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory.” Thanks to all the brave warriors!
“Not our President” may be more chickens coming home to roost.
Trump, who established his political visibility leading years of birtherism that questioned Obama’s legitimacy, and then ran a sociopathic 15 month campaign disparaging broad groups of people and vilifying all opposition, says he’ll be President to us all?
“The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”
The Obamas are taking the high road. Others may play by the new rules of the past half-dozen years.
I know it’s kind of a throwaway line but the idea of California seceding would be a bummer if turned to reality…
Worth a reminder: https://wallethub.com/edu/states-most-least-dependent-on-the-federal-government/2700/
California is one the states least dependent on the Federal government. 4th least in fact.
Georgia for its part, is 11th most dependent. I know there are a zillion factors here but this kind of stuff is worth remebering.
Interestingly, this link has a graph of “takers and givers”. Georgia is the least of the takers. Meaning it pays in slightly less to the Feds than it gets back. California is the least of the givers, meaning it pays slightly more to the Feds than it gets back. http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/05/which-states-are-givers-and-which-are-takers/361668/
What freaking Twitter morons. The Secret Service investigates every threat to a president. It may take a while, but that knock on the door will come. And, at the very least, the do*chebag’s name goes into their database…forever. Great job, dipsh*ts! LMAO!

I agree they’re morons, and Trump is the President of them.
Quick serious question: If the shoe was on the other foot, would a Dem administration just cut bait and let Trump slide if he was in the Hillary, ehtically-challenged, role? I know I came out Wednesday morning and said let her be. They, most certainly, would not give Trump the same consideration. And do y’all think Obama gives her/Bill a blanket pardon? If so, what does that do to their cumulative historical legacy?
Article came out yesterday and said Bernie would have won. THAT would have been an interesting contest. And what about Biden? He’s gotta be palm-smacking his forehead about what might have been. Honestly, I’m glad my side didn’t have to face either one…
I don’t think Biden would have survived the Clinton organization in the primary, especially as a late entrant. The list of people who could have bested Donald trump in the general is probably pretty long, but you have to win a nomination in a party that has been built around nominating Hillary Clinton for the past 8 years. That’s the right lesson for the dems to take away from this election cycle– have a real contest of ideas without a predetermined outcome.
Fair enough. I’m curious to see y’alls bench after a literal generation of the Clinton’s. Gore? Nope. Kerry? Nope. O’Malley? I guess, maybe. Richardson? Maybe. Your party has to be giddy now with new opportunities.
Lots of room for advancement. Hickenlooper, Castro, Warren (though I expect she’s not exciting or appealing enough). I doubt any of the old guard show up in 2020.
Does Trump reach out to Jeb!? If so, for what job? Huck? Santorum?
Did not know that…
