Runoff Election Results

There’s runoffs across Georgia today. Blah blah blah. Let’s skip to the results.

Most of them (Congress, State House & Senate, D.A.’s, etc) can be found here.

Want to know how Tim Lee is faring in Cobb? We’ve got a link for that.

How about Sharon Barnes Sutton in DeKalb. That one’s…well, maybe here eventually.

How about the Fulton Democratic Sheriff’s primary? Oh, look here.

If you’ve got other local runoffs, tell us about them in the comments.

Probably better to go to the SoS site and drill down to DeKalb County for Sharon Barnes-Sutton v. Steve Bradshaw. http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/GA/DeKalb/62893/174002/en/summary.html Looks like Bradshaw took the early and absentee voting at almost 4 to 1. Wooten was the off-duty(?) deputy who subdued and arrested the nefarious Nydia Tysdale for videoing the shenanigans at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm. Also of note early is that both Republican House incumbents who were forced… Read more »

Why can’t anything work right in DeKalb? I mean — seriously — can’t they even REPORT the election results over there correctly?

Gwinnett’s only result is HD 81 Republican runoff with Flynn beating Duffie 13 to 1. Not just a ration of 13 to 1 but that is the total vote count with 100% of the vote counted. Can we please consider non-partisan primaries and eliminate this nonsense?

Upon further review it appears that district is mostly in DeKalb but I still want non-partisan with top two going to the General.

It has been mentioned here and there in the past that regardless of the system we should have representatives that are elected by the majority of the voters. Two incumbent state house representatives from heavy Republican districts were defeated yesterday by opponents that were able to gather votes of 3-4% of the electorate. Under a nonpartisan system those same races would likely have been decided in November by roughly 60% of the electorate.

As Chief of the Parking Lot Police, Lee was deservedly crushed. Don’t let the door..:

Sad night to see Chairman Yates go. I was fortunate enough to speak with him a couple of times and he was always real friendly.
