Fellow Atlantans: if I asked you what is the most important vote on Tuesday you’d probably say the presidential primary vote.
But you would be mistaken in thinking so.
It’s the MOST vote. And you should vote yes.
While the tax vote is highly unlikely to fail, it’s worth pointing out that the MOST has been quite successful. With the one-cent sales tax, essentially everyone who uses the City of Atlanta’s water system pays for their use, the Department of Watershed Management has completed multiple projects on time and under budget (just in general, Atlanta has an incredibly efficient government and that happened not by shrinking the government’s size) and without the MOST, ATLiens water bills would go up.
