I Am Trump, Hear Me Roar!
Once upon a time back at the old place, we were more of a comment driven blog. Times have changed and I don’t expect us to return to all of those days. That said, I do like the idea of promoting comments worthy of celebration to their own front page post. With that preface, I elevate Three Jack’s comment from today’s Morning Reads:
Trump has disparaged Hispanics, POWs, Muslims, blacks, women, disabled reporters, Canadians, opponents, media and just about anybody else who dares to cross him only to see his poll numbers increase each time. Why would anybody think going after W would be the reason that he finally drops?
Somebody needs to parody the old Helen Reddy song:
I am Trump, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an’ pretend
‘Cause I’ve heard it all before
I am strong
I am invincible
I am Trump!
You can bend but never break me
Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal

‘That’s a great song, and it’s great because it’s true! It’s all true, I guarantee it. I might buy that song and add a verse about Making America Great Again. I own that you know. I know a good deal when I see one. Anybody who doesn’t like that song is a loser and p…. wait, I mean a schmuck. I’m going to have those lyrics engraved onto a gold plaque and hang it in my office because that would be great. Maybe I’ll change my logo to a lion, get it? Roar! Haha. There’s a song about Ted Cruz too you know, it’s title is “Liar”! The great thing is it’s by a band called Three Dog Night, which is about sleeping with dogs, which somehow seems appropriate with him. Helen Reddy though, jeez, she was never going to be Miss America was she? Great voice, great legs too, I think, but let’s just say it’s a good thing music videos weren’t a big thing yet when she was popular. Maybe instead of healthcare for everybody we should have makeovers for everybody. Now that’s something worth doing. We all want to be beautiful and we all want to be around beauty. That is the kind of thing that would really make America great again!”
Of course his criticism of the Iraq war is valid in a perfect hindsight. However no voting record at all does not equal a perfect one either.
May as well get a good laugh out of Trump…it’s really the only recourse left.
