It’s good to begin the weekend with levity.
Mitch McConnell yesterday called Obama “classless” for a (perhaps first) disparaging Obama remark identifying Trump by name. The hilarity is Mitch’s standard doesn’t apply to Trump’s thousands of disparaging remarks and lies about Obama.
But hey, Mitch can’t even bear to publicly dispute Trump’s disparaging of the ethnicity of Mitch’s wife and her family.
Charlie Cook’s people have two columns up on prospects in Georgia for the Perdue/?? and Trump/Biden races.
They move the Perdue race from likely gop to lean gop based on recent polls, the ongoing efforts of Stacey Abrams’ organization, and a surprising lack of name recognition for a sitting Senator. I’d add the disruption of the plague and economic shutdown but I think probably money and the power of incumbency will prevail.

After a nod to polls showing a coin flip and the gop loss of strongholds in Gwinnett and Cobb in the presidential race, they hold firm on Trump/Biden as lean gop, resisting a move to toss-up. They point out that Trump’s popularity is on a down-tick, that his campaign hasn’t had a chance to try to define Biden, and that in the big picture Georgia isn’t essential to a dem win as rationales not to shift their outlook.

I think Cook right on the Presidential election prospects.
I think the change with respect to the Senate is clouded by the uncertainty of who the Dem nominee will be. Perdue’s slippage in support may be connected to liking a particular Dem nominee, and in that case some will be disappointed when the nominee is named. I’ve yet to make my decision in that race.
Sticking with the laugh theme…..
“[Loeffler’s] success is a plus, but her wealth could be a negative.”
“The Governor made a decision that a woman could definitely help him and the other Republicans on the ticket in the suburbs.”
“But I don’t know that I could find a suburban woman in a year that could relate to having her husband buy her a private plan to take her to the office.”
Lynn Westmoreland, who has said he’s neutral in the race.
