Cagle Raises $4 Million Race Since Last Disclosure

In a press release sent this morning, the Cagle campaign announced their total amount raised in their bid for Governor to be near $7 million, with almost $6 million on hand.

Casey Cagle…announced today that his campaign raised over $6.7 million in donations over its first eight months. Cagle raised more than $4 million in the disclosure period that will end Jan. 31, and Cagle for Governor currently has over $5.75 million cash on hand.

State Elected Officials cannot raise money during the legislative session. But most are sending out updates like this one from the Cagle Camp which thanks supporters and adds a little disclaimer:

Once the legislative session ends, we’ll return to campaigning full time and deepening our reserves. We want to make sure we have every dollar we need to communicate effectively with Georgia voters.

It’s only fair to mention that the current Lt. Governor and Governor hopeful, Casey Cagle, has the support of the Georgia Conservatives Fund, which has allowed him to lap the field again on top of what has already been raised.
