Nina Simone, Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, the Moody Blues and the Cars walk into a bar.
i’m not really a fan, but i was surprised radiohead missed the cut…i am glad to see bon jovi finally make it, i guess there’s always next year for judas priest and a few others that seemed worthy this time around but came up short..
i think it washes off much easier with him losing than it would have with him winning…
Very true…
Now, the Dems need to find someone to take on Trump in ’20. Bernie’s not gonna cut it.
Man, watching some of those comments from various voters and political leaders was amazing, like that guy that thought you had to swear on a Bible.
There is a fair amount of people who have chosen to elevate Party above everything else. For evangelists especially it seems bizarre. I imagine McConnell et. al. fear breaking that spell if they defy their own mantra.
It happens on the left too of course, but I don’t think Dem leadership is as infiltrated with that type of extremism as R’s.
Evangelical Christianity by and large has demonstrated its politics are more important that its faith. The GOP push for repeal of the Johnson amendment proves it.
Roy Moore being disposed of, Republicans can return to what they were working on, undermining the Justice system and Special Prosecutor Mueller.
Ed’s not going to get any presents unless he fixes the St Simons link…
My prediction record hold up pretty good. I DID miss Bitcoin though. I heard yesterday that one guy bought 25k worth when it was selling for a buck a coin. Can you say 300+ million dollars? Lord….
While we were looking for election results, someone who makes up fake stories to tell reporters and make dems look bad was being reported to the capital police. (and yes Noway, it really is a fake document – read the whole story to find out way.)

Who the heck is cutting onions in here?!
“Mr. Falcon”, Tommy Nobis has died at age 74. If a purported Hall of Fame is there to celebrate individuals that excelled in a team sport then his exclusion should be an embarrassment to them. He was practically a one-man defense playing for a dismal team. I’m afraid he left us too early as a result of that effort.
538 has this interesting chart
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-trump-score/house/?ex_cid=rrpromo
It shows how often the Rep votes with Trump, margin that Trump won/lost district, and what it would be expected how often they vote with Trump, and the difference. More or less if they truly represent the values of the district.
The one most closely aligned with the district…Hank Johnson @ +.2
.
The worst…Karen Handel at +26.8
How the hell does anyone know what Trump’s position is on anything specific.
I’m hopeful GaPol HQ has dispatched someone to check on Jessica.
I was wondering the same thing. Hope all is well.
A rather comprehensive review…. Some of the reason we’re where we’re is too many of us, at times including me, react with tl;dr.
“What I Saw in Roy Moore’s Barn Burner” isn’t so long, and is an entertaining anecdote of how off the rails the Republican base has gone. http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a14415471/roy-moore-last-rally/
“Finally, you decide to put down the twin burdens of excusing deliberate ignorance and respecting the opinions of people who want to light the world on fire to kill their imaginary enemies.”
I tell myself all Republicans aren’t that way, but their seeming deliberate ignorance of deliberate ignorance, increasingly makes that hard to do.
