Christopher Wray Confirmed As FBI Director

Georgia’s Christopher Wray has been confirmed as the new FBI Director. Both Senator’s Isakson and Perdue voted to confirm their fellow Georgian. Their statements are below the fold, after the video of Senator Isakson’s remarks.

From Senator Isakson:

“At a time when we are looking for someone to do the job well, fairly and impartially, and without any question of impropriety, Christopher Wray is exactly that type of person,” said Isakson during his remarks. “He’s a dedicated, committed prosecutor who has been selected many times to work for the Department of Justice. Christopher Wray is the type of person Americans are looking for as the chief law enforcement officer of our country. I urge the members of the Senate to heartily vote in support of Christopher Wray as the new director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the United States of America.”

From Senator Perdue:

“Americans need someone they can trust to lead our nation’s highest law enforcement agency. I am confident that Christopher Wray will uphold the values and integrity of our Justice system as he works every day to keep Americans safe. There’s no question, his experience and qualifications make him the right person to take on this significant role. I’m delighted with his confirmation and I’m looking forward to working with Director Wray as he assumes his new post at the FBI.”
