“On average, those in the bottom 40 percent of the income spectrum end up getting money from the government. Meanwhile, the richest 20 percent of Americans, by far, pay the most in income taxes, forking over nearly 87 percent of all the income tax collected by Uncle Sam.”
Looks like it is time to eliminate payouts below zero income taxes and maybe schedule A deductions, we’ve about milked the top 20 percent (except for some exceptional loopholes).
Income tax, the 45 % area of Representation without taxation
Agree and top one percent pay 43 percent of all income tax. I like some of Rubio’s tax plan but his additional child credit is not good. Also per Wall St Journal, Trumpet’s plan takes more individuals off the tax rolls which would leave us with over 60 percent paying no income taxes.
So Sen. Jeff Flake was in Africa to learn about poaching? Really? Did we pay for that?
Maybe he just misunderstood, it was about rhinos.
+1
Re Trump’s VP choices, I found an Irish betting site last night whose top goper VP selections were Kasich (2-1), Haley (3-1), and Rubio (7-2). I would have picked Haley after last year’s negotiation to remove the rebel battle flag from prominence but now I think Kasich is more likely because Ohio.

sad to see that state rep bob bryant has passed away…he was a good guy and a good representative for garden city.
GOP establishment rolls out failed candidate (twice) Mitt Romney who was the first to give us ObamaCare as the mouthpiece to attack Trump about his tax returns? Any wonder the GOP has become irrelevant this election cycle.
Scathing analysis of HB757 “FADA” from fomer federal prosecutor and DoJ official (Reagan/Bush admins), Joe Whitley.

The Barrett .50 is named the official rifle in Tennessee. http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/politics/state/story/2016/feb/24/tennessee-names-barrett-50-cal-states-official-rifle/351788/
Glad this didn’t come up in Georgia this year they would have made it the water pistol. Official dog the adoptable dog. Grow a pair legislature put on your big girl panties. The official dog should be the bull dog.
You’re not going to give up on this topic, are you? You are not going to let go of it, as you’ve got quite a tenacious grip on it. As tenacious as an adoptable dog.
Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
Glock is an Austrian company but some are assembled in Smyrna so maybe we could name a Glock as the official pistol of Georgia.
Why would one of the original British colony’s name the English Bulldog their state dog…?
If you’d like to get serious about a state dog, bred in America, especially Georgia, there is only one choice;
Southern Charmer: Redbone Coonhound
The beautiful Redbone Coonhound is known for his dark, rich, mahogany-red coat. Colonial settlers from Scotland and Ireland brought red hounds with them to the United States, and those dogs are the ancestors of the Redbone. George E.L. Birdsong, a famous foxhunter and dog breeder from Georgia, did the most to develop the breed, which was just recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2009.
We’re lucky The Varsity hasn’t stepped in to make the official state dog the hot dog. “What’ll ya have…”
re: Abortion Clinics closing. As we learned from Freakonomics less abortions will mean more crime about 13-18 years from now when today’s newborns are entering their rookie seasons of criminal activity. Good for the private prison industry, bad for those that prefer not to be a victim.
If you haven’t seen the connection from Freakonomics, check out the text, or watch the film. http://freakonomics.com/2005/05/15/abortion-and-crime-who-should-you-believe/
