Here’s Your Copy of the Substitute Pastor Protection Act

Senator Greg Kirk of Americus introduced a substitute version of the Pastor protection Act in the Senate Rules Committee on Tuesday that combines the measure previously approved in the House with a modified version of the Pastor Protection Act, Senate Bill 284. After an hour-long hearing in the Rules Committee, the measure received a Do Pass vote and the combined measure will be sent to the Senate floor for consideration.

We’ll have more on the debate over the bill a bit later, but for now, you can view the combined bill below the fold.

This remains a stupid bill, written by stupid people, to solve a stupid problem.

Why does Sen. Kirk labor under the delusion that gay people really want to have a homophobe officiate their wedding?

I don’t think it’s as much a ‘stupid problem’ as much as a non-existent problem.
