Five Years in Prison, $1M Fine in First ATL Corruption Sentence
Developer E.R. Mitchell is the first person sentenced in the ongoing Atlanta bribery scandal. At 2:30, the second sentencing of the scandal will be delivered to C.P. Richards.
11Alive reported Mitchell saying before the announcement:
“I apologize to the community. I have been, and will continue to, cooperate with investigators,.I will make amends to all involved for my wrongdoings.”
Mitchell and Richards pleaded guilty to paying $1,000,000 and $200,000 respectively in bribes to city officials for contracts.

Is there a reason we should know the name, “E.R Mitchell”, aside from him being a developer? I feel like I’ve seen references to him before and not as a developer…
