President Trump To Visit Georgia on Sunday

I heard rumbles that President Donald Trump would be visiting Floyd County on Sunday. Those rumbles got louder with the Rome News-Tribune posting that FAA records show the President making a stop at the Richard B. Russell Airport in Rome, GA.

Polls show that Georgia is a battleground state for the 2020 election, so it’s not unusual for the President to put extra focus on what had been a reliable state to be in the Republican column. It’s interesting that he’s putting a final push stop in northwest Georgia–an area that he will likely dominate.

Although, this is probably more for campaign optics. You may recall former Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Warm Springs where his campaign rally looked more like an intimate meet-and-greet rather than a big groundswell of support. President Trump’s rally will likely be, well, yuge in comparison.
