Good morning!

• Georgia’s junior Senator offers insight into how to win colleagues and influencing president. Or something.
• Meanwhile, in Atlanta… a resolution to change November’s jungle primary to a good, old-fashioned partisan primary in May won bipartisan support from a House subcommittee.
• Whenever the election happens, it’s increasingly clear that Rep. Doug Collins is ready to go.
• And across the street from that hearing, lawmakers on the third floor of the Capitol are contending with the budget recommendations – perhaps I use that term generously – that came from the executive on the second floor of the Capitol, particularly as they concern Georgia’s public health and behavioral health programs.
• Lawmakers have a lot of questions, one of which is, how on earth did DNR award $34 million in Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Fund grants to different groups around Georgia, only to learn that apparently they actually only had $20 million in funds?
• There is good news, though! After nearly a year, and $750K in cyberattack insurance (yes, that’s a thing) deductibles, the Department of Public Safety is back online.
• Clean energy supporters in Savannah hope that the city will transition to 100% “clean energy” by 2030.
• Nearby, the Port of Savannah is also working to go green – but are they doing enough?
• Sterilization Services of Georgia in Fulton County was fined thousands by the state for not making timely enough changes to improve their ethylene oxide emissions.
