Cash Shortage Ends Terry For Senate, Starts New Campaign

The Ted Terry for Senate campaign is dead! Long live the Ted Terry for Dekalb Commissioner campaign!

Terry, the mayor of Clarkston made it official early this morning that he is ending his challenge of Senator Perdue. The reason:

The old saying that it takes coal to run a train, but it takes gold to run a campaign is truer in this age of politics than ever before. And while the thousands of you who have pitched in has made a huge difference, it is time to look in a different direction and focus on the ways I can take the lessons I learned across the state and apply them in my home county.

The AJC reports Terry had raised $90,000 for his senate bid.

Edwards everywhere were saddened that one of our fraternity will not be in the U.S. Senate. But Terry will now run for the open sixth super district seat on Dekalb’s county commission. A worthy consolation prize.
