Georgia Young Republicans Get National YR Positions

This past week, a delegation from the Georgia Young Republicans traveled to Omaha, Nebraska to elect new leadership for the Young Republicans National Federation. Georgia YR Chairman Colt Chambers was elected as Southern Regional Director of the YRNF by the convention, and newly elected YRNF Chairman Rick Loughery appointed Georgia YR National Committeeman James Hall as Co-Chair of the YRNF Site Selection Committee. Georgia YR Chairman Colt Chambers sent out this announcement by email today:

This past week, hundreds of young conservatives from across the nation gathered in Omaha for the 2019 Young Republicans National Convention to elect new national leadership. During the YRNC, Georgia was well represented and had quite an exciting time. The Nebraska Young Republicans did a fantastic job executing the convention and creating an enjoyable experience for all of those in attendance. Throughout the week/weekend, we had the opportunity to meet and hear from Governor Pete Ricketts (btw, he is a HUGE fan of Governor Brian Kemp!), U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, Mayor Jean Stothert, and numerous other notable speakers.

I’d like to start out by congratulating Rick Loughery of Pennsylvania for his election as National Chairman. Rick has demonstrated exceptional leadership over his time within the Young Republicans, most recently as State Chairman of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans. I look forward to working with him and my colleagues in the newly elected leadership to #KeepGeorgiaRed in 2020.

Next, I would like to congratulate National Committeeman James Hall for his appointment by Chairman Loughery to serve as Co-Chair of the YRNF Site Selection Committee. This appointment is much deserved and I know that James will represent our state well.

I would also like to thank the delegation from the Southern region for electing me YRNF Southern Regional Director. I am very appreciative of the confidence placed in me and look forward to taking on this new opportunity and the challenges that lie ahead.

Finally, I am most excited to announce that the Georgia Young Republicans were recognized with the Outstanding State Federation Social Media Award during the Awards Dinner on Saturday night. I want to congratulate all of the Young Republicans across our state and my team within our state leadership for making this a reality. Georgia continues to be an award-winning organization and I couldn’t be more proud and motivated to continue to have Georgia recognized on the national stage.

Support the Georgia Young Republicans, an award-winning organization, by making a contribution today!

To that end, the Board of Directors of the Georgia Young Republicans met last night to approve our annual budget and strategic plan for the upcoming year. I am looking forward to sharing the strategic plan within the coming weeks. As always, if there’s anything that the Georgia Young Republicans can do to help you or if you are interested in getting involved, please do not hesitate to reach out to me!

For Georgia,
Colt Chambers
State Chairman, Georgia Young Republicans

Congratulations to these fine gentlemen.
