Happy Independence Day

Happy 4th of July! America is 243 years old. I hope y’all enjoy the blessing of liberty today and (safely) celebrate the fact that we threw off the reigns of a tyrannical government based on the ideas of protecting the individual’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

In this day and age, it seems the political dialog is hogged by the extreme wings of the party. I venture to say that average Americans have more in common than we think. We all enjoy the blessings of liberty, and we thank those who defend it.

As you go out to spend Independence Day with family and friends, take a moment to reflect how our great experiment in liberty continues to grow and adapt as our society changes.
