Looking at the crossover day shenanigans as a fiscal conservative I’m not as concerned with the “fails” as I am with a couple of the “successes”. Namely the fetal heartbeat bill with its untold future legal cost to support the majority religious view of some of our citizens and the choice to spend $120 million more for voting machines in order to support the majority party’s continuation in being the majority party. I would be happier if they just passed a budget and went home.
Starting in the 50s, fire ants have spread through every county in Georgia. Armadillos made it to Oconee County a few years ago. Lately coyotes have joined possums in suburbs throughout the state. Whether that’s a result of warming climate or just normal species expansion I can’t say, but the question arises, where do we draw the line? For me, sharing the state with four-foot long lizards is not acceptable. Why don’t they go back where they came from? If we let in Argentine lizards today then what do we do tomorrow when Burmese pythons want in? Time to take a stand, preferably on a lizard’s head.
What are you whining about. We already have 700 lb gators!
Build a wall that’ll keep ’em out.

In order to reduce the size of state government Kemp has decided to create more government:

Kemp is treading on familiar territory. His ally, Sonny Perdue, created a new office called the Commission for a New Georgia shortly after he was elected governor in 2002… Perdue’s administration said the changes paid off, estimating they wound up saving more than $150 million in taxpayer funds.
So without the need of a new commission and six-figure commissioner I can propose a savings of $120 million right out of the gate. Use pen and paper ballots.
