Gov. Kemp and First Lady Highlight End It Movement

From a press release from Governor Brian Kemp:

Today, Governor Brian P. Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp join individuals across the world in the #EndItMovement to shine a light on modern day slavery and fight to eliminate sex trafficking in the State of Georgia.

“It is truly heartbreaking to know that Georgia has one of the highest human trafficking and child prostitution rates in the country. We must put a stop to this terrible criminal enterprise,” said Governor Kemp. “My family and I applaud the ongoing work of federal, state, and local officials to crack down on human trafficking across the nation, and we commend federal law enforcement for their efforts over Super Bowl weekend to rescue eighteen survivors and arrest 169 traffickers. Today, the Kemp Family joins the #EndItMovement to bring awareness to this critical issue, and we call on Georgians across our state to take part in this deserving cause.”

The #EndItMovement is a coalition of leading organizations around the world fighting to end sex trafficking. On February 7, 2019, they are encouraging people to shine a light on slavery and rise awareness about human trafficking by drawing a red “X” on their hand and post it to social media using #EndItMovement.
