UPDATED: Georgia Republican Party Elects New National Committeeman Today

::UPDATE:: Congratulations to 7th District Chairman Jason Thompson on his election to be the new GAGOP national committeeman.

Today, the state committee is the Georgia Republican Party will select either 7th District Chairman Jason Thompson, former State Representative Melvin Everson, and 8th District Chairman Chris West to become its next national Committeeman succeeding Ambassador Randy Evans who resigned to accept the nomination by President Donald Trump to lead the US mission to Luxembourg.

The vote is scheduled to take place around 1p today by the full state committee. Stay tuned for details.
