Cong. David Scott Endorses Stacey Abrams for Governor

Rep. Stacey Abrams now has 75% of the Georgia Democratic Congressional delegation in her corner.

In a statement released a few minutes ago, Congressman David Scott announced he is supporting Abrams.

Scott said:

“Stacey Abrams is an experienced and principled leader who is not afraid to stand up for what is right, and put service to families in our state first. As the top ranking Democrat in the House who has stopped tax increases on the poor and middle class, fought to expand Medicaid, protected civil rights and stood up for access to quality public education, she is undoubtedly the most qualified person in the race for governor.”

Abrams already had the backing of Congs. Hank Johnson and John Lewis. Sanford Bishop is the only Georgia Democrat in D.C. who has not endorsed either candidate. Stacey Evans is the other declared candidate for governor.
