Dan Moody Kicks in Almost $2 Million for #GA6 Campaign, Gray & Wilson Update
According to FEC reports, GA-6 Congressional candidate Dan Moody has loaned his campaign $1,917,363 through the March 29, 2017 report date. The campaign has raised $106,901 from individual donors and $999 from PACs. The campaign spent $1,865,030, mainly on placed media, and had $160,233 on hand.
Bob Gray’s report is also in, showing he has loaned his campaign $500,000 through 3/29/2017. He raised $217,001 from individual donors and $500 from PACs. His campaign has $396,472 on hand after spending $321,028. A lot more expensive campaign than running for PTA.
Kurt Wilson’s report shows a $200,000 loan, $119,068 in individual contributions, $199,149 in expenditures, and $119,919 on hand through 3/29/2017.

So a seat in Congress is worth $1,917,363 to Dan Moody…seems he is over paying. Not really fiscally conservative if you ask me.
He’s old. What else is he going to do with with $1,917,363?
1. I know of a homeless mission in Statesboro that could use it.
2. I know of some cancer charities
3. I know of a lot of other charities
So you’re saying that the $1,917,363 could have been spent in better ways than running for Congress in a crowded special election?
Some egos are more expensive to maintain than others.
At least using his own money appears to create tv spots that promote his own name recognition over that of Mr. Ossoff. I would be curious to know how successful the PAC attack ads are in a nonpartisan primary consisting of a herd with no incumbent.
Pearls on an elephant…money well spent (if you want to alienate female voters). As for the DC attack ads on Ossoff…they seem to be flopping. What was once a good (if not moral) strategy when over done isnt so good anymore. They’ve over used the “Scary Muslim” thing a bit much…and for heavens sake the guy is Jewish (one parent is). Everything coming out of DC seems desperate.
Do we think we are going to spend tens of millions over a House seat in order to get the costs of government under control or just “better” allocated ?
