Drew Ferguson Joins Georgia Congressional Delegation

Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.) was sworn in today as the Congressman for Georgia’s Third Congressional District. Previously, the Third was represented by Lynn Westmoreland, who first elected in 2004 and chose not to seek re-election.

Ferguson faced off against a crowded field, ultimately besting Senator Mike Crane in a GOP Primary runoff and coasting to victory in the highly Republican district.

“I entered public service to help my neighbors reinvigorate a struggling economy in my hometown of West Point,” said Ferguson. “With policies that cut regulatory red tape and incentivized business growth, we were able to attract a Kia plant and associated suppliers that brought 15,000 jobs to West Point and revitalized a struggling community. I look forward to working with my colleagues and the incoming Trump Administration to enact similar policies on a federal level that empower entrepreneurs, spur economic innovation and get government out of the way. I am honored the voters of Georgia’s Third District chose me to represent them in Congress, and I am proud to have the opportunity to serve them.”
