Clinton Inc.
A number of major media outlets have finally gotten past hearsay accusations of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump to explore the many ‘ethically deficient’ (phrase used by HRC apologist and Princeton prof Eddie Glaude on Morning Joe today) activities in Clinton World. It seems most emanate from a company called Teneo formed by Clinton loyalists Doug Band and Declan Kelly and chaired by Bill himself until recently.
The Washington Post provides details in a story today
“The memo, made public Wednesday by the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, lays out the aggressive strategy behind lining up the consulting contracts and paid speaking engagements for Bill Clinton that added tens of millions of dollars to the family’s fortune, including during the years that Hillary Clinton led the State Department. It describes how Band helped run what he called “Bill Clinton Inc.,” obtaining “in-kind services for the President and his family — for personal travel, hospitality, vacation and the like.'”
There are many links within the story to private emails and other items that provide evidence of a major operation setup for the purpose of enriching Clinton Inc.
Apparently Chelsea Clinton smelled something rotten in Chappaqua as she began to question the activities of Teneo. Here is a line from Band about Chelsea’s meddling: “I don’t deserve this from her and deserve a tad more respect or at least a direct dialogue for me to explain these things,” Band wrote to Podesta at the time. “She is acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she’s doing because she, as she has said, hasn’t found her way and has a lack of focus in her life.”
This follows comes on the heels of a series of videos released by James O’Keefe showing how HRC campaign operatives worked to disrupt Trump rallies by inciting violence. The culprits/scapegoats involved in that process have been fired.
The Clintons were criticized in the 90s for selling access to the White House. Back then they charged $10,000 for a coffee and up to $50,000 for an overnight stay in the Lincoln bedroom. What seemed out of line in 1994 pales in comparison with the current money-making endeavors where millions have been paid for access to America’s most corrupt political family. Just imagine what they could charge if given access to the White House again.

Old news? Indeed, corruption has been part of Clinton Inc. for decades so in that respect, it is old news. But it is new corruption, higher profits and even more proof HRC et al could care less about anybody outside their ring of high priced prostitutes.
Sadly you are probably right CC, nobody gives a crap. We are so used to ethically challenged politicians, it goes without notice. The Clintons have managed to make illegal the new legal.
I see the ethics violation. I see the “this doesn’t look good on paper”. issues. I see the confirming what we dislike the most about the Clintons. Please cite the illegal. Ethics codes and law are to separate items. Politicians of every party break, bend, and run over ethic rules all the time. They push the limits of the rules in order to make themselves rich/powerful/important. Sort of like manipulating the tax codes to get out of paying taxes (or finding ways around federal procurement rules for the use of an old post office and then going back to the feds to renegotiated a deal you couldn’t afford to begin with) and such. The best we can hope for is strong sanctions or trying to trip some one up under oath and saying “gotcha” like the impeachment hearings, or Scooter Libby . Of course a politico can always run away from an ethics violation before they have to do that whole under oath stuff (ie. Congressman N. Deal).
So far I have yet to see or even hear from the talking heads on the far right the actual cited law, on the books, statute blah blah blah that is being broken.
I hate to say it, but America deserves another round of the Clinton’s.
We’ve embraced fraud and embezzlement as a way of life, whether its’ the refusal to prosecute the big banks for the housing/mortgage fraud, or lying to ourselves about the fraud that goes on every time you get over-billed for an MRI that costs $160 in Japan but you get billed for $10K.
Having another 4 years of status quo corruption is apparently what the voters want.
If you keep saying illegal, it doesn’t make it happen.

Bring charges. Show your work. Or work with the new administration to continue improving the economy, bring healthcare to everyone, and provide a safe world for all. Otherwise, it’s all so much whining about how the Clintons got rich.

There appears to be some confusion on Bart’s behalf as to what “hearsay” means. The dozen or so women who’ve accused Donald of sexual misconduct haven’t claimed that they HEARD about it; they’re describing things that happened TO THEM.
Bart’s usage would suggest that victim statements are nothing more than “hearsay” to him.
Let me illustrate. Take, for instance, the accusation that Donald would walk into the dressing rooms of beauty pageant contestants while they were changing.
A hearsay account of this would be along the lines of a former contestant saying “Other girls often said that Donald would walk in on them while changing.” That it was just something she’d heard about, but had no direct evidence of.
A direct, NON-hearsay account would be “Donald walked in on us when I was a contestant.” It’s not hearsay, because the accuser was a witness to and a victim of his behavior.
And a confession would be Donald saying “I’ll go backstage before a show, and everyone’s getting dressed and ready and everything else…I sort of get away with things like that,” like he told Howard Stern in 2005.
Loren, I was logging in to make this exact same point but you beat me to it! It’s not hearsay when it is a first-hand account from the victim.
These men supporting Trump (and unfortunately some women) will never get it…

hearsay – the report of another person’s words (women lying about their Trump encounters) by a witness (media), usually disallowed as evidence in a court of law.
Get it now? Probably not structured correctly, but media was reporting totally unsubstantiated rumors that would not stand in a court of law. Yet the same media and people like you overlook actual actions that are at the very least unethical if not illegal.
It’s not “unsubstantiated”, and arguably not a rumor, if Trump corroborates it, as pointed out by Loren.
No hearsay if media merely interviews a victim. Hearsay if media reports on an allegation without an interview with victim.
If a victim is available that victim would be required to appear in court. If victim unavailable judge may (or may not) allow a media interview to be entered as evidence. I don’t see a judge ever allowing a media report that merely reports an allegation without a victim interview.

I believe most of the victims are credible but I question if a judge would allow media reports of allegations to be entered as evidence in court. The Bill Cosby case would be a good example.
I will let Bart speak for himself but I agree victims would be allowed to testify in court.
First, Princeton prof Eddie Glaude is hardly an apologist. He has said several times he isnt voting for HRC because he doesnt feel as though she has properly addressed his issues. so you ought to do a better job in your research before you go off half cocked. So, I guess you might also want to talk about how the Trump campaign said voter suppression was one of their campaign strategies (I kid you not). Its like one hand doesnt even know what the other is doing. Trump is going to make the GOP lose at least 3 winnable senate seats. Thats in addition to the 2 they were going to lose anyway.
He is a “Princeton” professor… so he technically can be classified as an elitist. One could jump to a Grand Canyon size conclusion that Prof. Glaude is a pawn in the media’s quest to create bias, or so I have heard it said.
Eddie Glaude is a Morehouse grad too. That should count for something.

He’s always been on that mother. If he didn’t have oversight, what exactly would he being doing? I personally would love to read his memoir if he has one. How does a guy raised by a Jewish father (whose first wife is Kitty Dukakis), and a Christian Scientist mother get to BYU on football scholarship, help his older half brother run the Dukakis college level campaign – end up being a far right Mormon Congressman? That would be a interesting story.

It is so very sad to watch the political party I have worked so hard for in the past melt away so quickly. It is even more depressing to see people like Noway and frankly people I go to church with say the things they say and not believe there is anything wrong with it.
I grew up in a moderate Republican strong hold of Wisconsin down the road from the birth place of the Republican party. To watch the evangelical right co-op it 20 years ago, to see Steve Gunderson outed on the floor of the House then having Newt throw him under the House, and strong female leaders like Christine Todd Whitman force into the shadows, my heart was broken by the GOP long ago. I feel for you. I wish I can say it will get better. I hoped it would, but it has only gotten worse…
