This Week’s Executive Orders by GA Gov. Nathan Deal

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal issued five executive orders this week:

04.28.16.01 – Lowering flags to half-staff in honor and memory of University of Georgia students who were injured or killed in a tragic automobile accident.
This ordered the flag of the United States and flag of the Great State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on all State buildings and grounds on Friday, April 29, 2016, until sunset in remembrance of Ms. Kayla Leigh Canedo from Alpharetta, Ms. Brittany Katherine Feldman from Alpharetta, Ms. Christina Devon Semeria from Milton, and Ms. Halle Grace Scott from Dunwoody and in respect of Ms. Agnes Kim from Snellville,  who was  seriously  injured and is currently being treated for her injuries.

04.28.16.02 – Appointing the Honorable Tammi L. Hayward as State Court Judge of Clayton County
This ordered that effective April 28, 2016, the Honorable Tammi L. Hayward is hereby appointed Judge of the State Court of Clayton County, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Morris E. Braswell.

04.28.16.03 – Appointing the Honorable Eric Wayne Norris as Superior Court Judge of the Western Judicial Circuit
This ordered that effective April 28, 2016, the Honorable Eric Wayne Norris is hereby appointed Judge of the Superior Court of the Western Judicial Circuit, to fill the vacancy created by the passage of House Bill 279 during the 2015 session of the Georgia General Assembly.

04.28.16.04 – Appointing the Honorable John Edwin Worcester as Superior Court Judge of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit
This ordered that effective April 28, 2016, the Honorable John Edwin Worcester is hereby appointed Judge of the Superior Courts of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Amanda Mercier to the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia.

04.28.16.05 – Appointing the Honorable Mary Elizabeth Priest as Superior Court Judge of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit
This ordered that effective April 28, 2016, the Honorable Mary Elizabeth Priest is hereby appointed Judge of the Superior Courts of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Roger E. Bradley.
